Der vorliegende Band stellt die zentralen Informationsressourcen zu historischen Bibliotheksbeständen vor, deren Kenntnis für die wissenschaftliche Arbeit mit Originalquellen ebenso unerlässlich ist wie für die bibliothekarische Bearbeitung dieses Materials. Neben den Verzeichnissen und Datenbanken zu Handschriften, Inkunabeln und Historischen Drucken werden auch die Informationsressourcen einzelner Bestandsgruppen berücksichtigt – wie beispielsweise Zeitschriften, Zeitungen, Karten, Notendrucke und Kinderbücher. Conservation research in libraries is a rapidly growing field. This book places analysis within its context in conservation and provides examples of how this expensive resource can be used.
