How to work with me: I like to make things that create a visual langauge expressing your idea that everyone can appreciate. I specialise in working with paper, particularly salvaged books, as well as other complementary materials to create art pieces, bespoke installations and very special visual merchandising. I work with you to come up with a concept that can be implemented in a practical and original manner. It is important to note that I will not just reproduce a campaign you have seen elsewhere. For further details and a brief Biography please look to the back of this publication.

ORIGAMI INSTALLATIONS AND EVENT DECOR We can fold you thousands of cranes to hang in strings, attach them to branches or provide them loose for you to use as you please. Any colour is possible and we love to use recycled paper

ORIGAMI INSTALLATIONS AND EVENT DECOR We can make you a forest or a field of paper flowers. The Paper Lily can be used in a multitude of ways - a single bloom, a climbing creeper, a field of flowers or as a branch of blooms. Any colour is possible and we love to use recycled paper.

PAPER GEMS: Folded using a traditional origami method. Any size and colour are possible

PAPER GEOMETRIC SHAPES Created from cut out templates with perforated folding lines these shapes are easy to self-assemble or they can be purchased complete. Various sizes and colours are available. Giant Origami Cranes in the background are also available in a range of colours and sizes.

AFRICA REINVENTED

The reuse and repurposing of a material to create another desirable object satisfies me immensely. I see it happening all over my country as a means to survive. This piece pays tribute to that resourcefulness and resilience. ‘Africa Reinvented’ is available in 3 standard sizes and can be custom made to any size. While each one follows the same recipe none are alike as each is made by hand and the colour, height and finish all vary greatly.

BOOK ARTWORKS

Bespoke Artworks created from salvaged books purchased from various Charity Organisations in Cape Town. These pieces tell another story and carry a rather ephemeral feel from the continuous touching and reading that the original material experienced.

BOOK ASSEMBLAGE I find treasured and wonderful classic literature in the recycling pile. These beautiful old books become once off art pieces collaged with other found memorabilia; stamps, postcards, tickets stubs; among other things. Each Artwork is dependant on what I find. This type of piece can be customised and made using your favourite book and personal momento’s. The style of the piece can either be framed and wall hung (this page) or a sculpture (opposite page) can be created that sits under a glass dome or box.

TABLE DECOR Wood, Paper and Semi precious stones combine to form unique table settings and general decor. Faceted or Turned Wooden candle holders, Folded Book shapes and Rose quartz place holders are just an example of what we can do with these beautiful materials.

The Road I make Site Specific Landart in nature and in the urban landscape using what is available at the site. These installations are made in nature and evolve over time with their surroundings. Some are more permanent (trees, rocks and so on) others are very transient and will disappear soon after being made. Photo Credit: Jan Ras
