Ediotrial layouts

Page 1

This layout was inspired by an editorial on studio8design.co.uk. The editor isn’t known but I plan to use big bold text as the dominant feature and a quote below it. Add some text next to it but not alot and I’m going to see how the presentation of it looks with and without an image as the background. Because I’m using bold text I will use a contrasting colour depending on the colour and tone of the background. I want the title and the quote to be the most dominant thing so I’m not going to overload this doube spread page with alot of text at all.

This page layout I plan to play around with abit but this is the genral layout. There will be the dominant picture with two other pictures that match a rythm to the dominant picture with Text and a header on the far right. The dominant picture may not over lap to the next one but I’ll continue working with that as I develop my issue.

On these two pages I have taken influnece from a poster I came across of the National History Museum and used the general idea of it’s layout but changed a few things. The initial background will be a Rhythm of pictures inspired by The Stylist issue by Lisa Smosarski. There will be small text on the far right but I will experiment if it looks good or not dependeing on placing and size.

With this particual layout I plan to try it out but it will most likely be too much text. There will be three main pictures and two others on the far right. I will most likely take out one or two text boxes.

On this layout I would want a striking image as the overall backgorund and a square of repeated photos on the right side of the double page with the logo/title of my issue. There will be a cut out strip about two thirds of the way down with a header and text. The background image will bleed over aswel.
