Primary Students Sponsor A Seeing Eye Puppy “River”

Over the past twelve months the Primary Grades have been raising money via a sausage sizzle and donating to the SEDA money boxes to help with the training, feeding and veterinary expenses for River, the Golden Retriever puppy we sponsor. When he passes the tough testing and graduates, he will then be given to someone who is vision impaired. The students were thrilled when River and Mr Paul Roberts from SEDA came along to visit us at a special assembly where Michael Rogers of Grade 6 gave Mr Roberts a cheque for $512. The students can be extremely proud of their efforts in their sponsorship of River and we are all looking forward to his re-visiting the College, perhaps with the vision impaired person to whom he is given.
