Year 2010 has proven to be the most enjoyable time at De La Salle for me. All were encouraged to Standing: Mr John McAlroy, Chris Carberry, Jack Cowling, Callum Ernikiolis, Tom Connolly, take on something new, Theodore Siriopoulos, Steve Galgani, Mr Robert Bonnici to put ourselves out of Seated: Harrison Dziubinski, William Agar, Patrick Arceri, Michael McMahon, Adam Tonkin our ‘comfort zone’ and achieve our best. Many boys in Year 9 gave up their mornings to help Community Service was a case in point. Year 9s at the Breakfast Club and I congratulate them for their attended local aged-care facilites to help out for a efforts. They were one of the chief reasons we did well week. For me, it was an eye opener. One lady at the this year! facility I attended had the very firm impression that A big thank you goes to Mr Bonnici and Mr McAlroy, boys in their teens were “rude, immature and only who guided us so well. They were always willing to cared about themselves”. Over the course of the help, even if it required doing tasks after school. They week she changed her opinion completely. worked extremely hard to ensure that Year 9 boys took away something enjoyable from the year. Year 9 Award Winners — Semester 2 To the Year 9 Leaders: we did a great job. I am truly proud of the way we went about our duties throughout the year. Finally to the two vice-captains, Will Agar and Michael McMahon: you represented the campus well, and without your help we would not have had the successes we had this year. Thank you for always being around when I needed you. I would like to end by saying thank you to all the Year 9 boys who gave me the chance to represent them and the campus this year. It was an honour I will cherish. Patrick Arceri Campus Captain
