“I was too self-absorbed. My perspective was too limited on Earth.”

“More like you were tethered to reality.”
“Forgive me for believing in something that actually gives this all a purpose.” A light rain began to drizzle, which meant it was time to get moving. She stared at him for a few seconds before standing up. She grabbed her radio-device from her hip and tried again in vain to contact their partners - no answer. They put their helmets back on and began walking through the desert-like surroundings.
“No one is going to be there you know,” she yelled from behind.
“We don’t know that yet. Have a little faith and the journey won’t seem as long.”
