Now that you are settled into your new role, the team at Delineo wanted to give you an overview of the work we have developed for The Co-operative over the last 12 months. We are very proud to showcase some of the stand out work we have done. This is just a taster of things to come in 2011, with great projects ongoing with Pharmacy, Travel, Green Schools and Charity of the Year, to name just a few.

Doing our bit to spread the word for The Co-operative Client: The Co-operative Title: Enterprise Hub Brief: Delineo have been managing a multi-channel social media campaign for The Co-operative Enterprise Hub, engaging and interacting with relevant online communities via Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. With a niche audience, we’ve built up a 1,122 strong audience across all three social networks, engaging and interacting with fellow co-operatives and helping raise the awareness about work done by The Enterprise Hub.

Through these social channels, we’ve spoken to the dozens of established and fledgling co-operatives, industry figureheads and communicated with official accounts for mainstream outlets such as The Guardian. Our daily activity across these channels ensures that fans and followers are kept involved and informed about the work of The Enterprise Hub. Furthermore, we actively source news and opinion from The Co-operative community in the United Kingdom, actively encouraging users to talk about issues relevant to them on the three social networks.
In March 2011, the Facebook page for The Enterprise Hub was visited by just over 600 unique users per day.

We’ve integrated this online community management with rigorous blogging activity; posting engaging and interesting content relevant to the audience. Our coverage of co-operative events and industry news has ensured regular traffic to the site, increasing the awareness of The Co-operative Hub, its principals and its mission.

Keeping The Co-operative business in the know with our bi-monthly newsletter design
Client: The Co-operative Title: Interactive Propositions newsletter Brief: Delineo were asked to design a newsletter which would be emailed out bi-monthly to the marketing departments of all The Co-operative businesses to share news and ďŹ ndings from the Propositions, Consumer Insight and CRM teams.
We created a user friendly, branded interactive pdf called ‘Interact’ which presented an easily digestible summary of all the customer segment research work. This was produced to ensure
communications from The Co-operative are appropriately tailored to their target audience in a relevant way and sent at the right time for maximum engagement.

The Co-operative staff magazine shines with brand new editorial design
Client: The Co-operative Travel Title: Shine Magazine Brief: After a successful 5-way pitch during summer 2010, two issues of Shine have been released to over 3,000 Co-operative Travel staff. The updated version took inspiration from consumer magazines so that a stylish, modern feel would make staff want to read the new Shine magazine.

To involve staff and attract attention to the magazine, we included a high end fashion photo shoot, featuring employees as models - results were amazing.

Highlighting The Co-operative’s role in tackling global poverty Client: The Co-operative Group Title: Tackling Global Poverty brochure and short film Brief: Delineo was given the task of bringing to life The Co-operative’s Tackling Global Poverty campaign initiative. We produced a brochure and DVD, working closely with the International Development team to really bring home the success of The Co-operative’s support.
The brochure and short film were designed to show the positive changes that The Co-operative has made in some of the world’s poorest communities.
Our creative lead image of the ‘Honeycomb Atlas’ has been used as an interactive board displaying the initiatives.

Making a statement at The Co-operative Financial Services
Client: The Co-operative Financial Services Title: We Are IT conference
Brief: The Co-operative Financial Services and Britannia merger needed a ‘big bang’ conference to launch an all-new IT department in February this year.
Delineo was commissioned to produce a strong visual identity accompanied with high quality video footage and stage materials to help ensure this was a conference that got everyone talking. As you can see, it was mission accomplished!

One proposition, two target audiences Client: The Co-operative Travel Title: Jump in Chill out
Brief: To devise a campaign that would encourage customers to book their 2011 summer holiday well in advance.
Our challenge was to make the creative appeal to two very different target audiences, so we came up with ‘Jump in’ for families wanting a fun-filled and action-packed holiday: and ‘Chill out’ aimed at couples looking for a more relaxing holiday in the sun.
Contrasting imagery and sentiment made for a fun and engaging campaign which encompassed POS, direct mail and radio.

Exciting The Co-operative Travel customers with engaging new creative for Ski holiday POS Client: The Co-operative Travel Title: Travel ski point of sale
Brief: Standout imagery was needed to highlight The Co-operative Travel’s great Ski offers. For this we collected together some great action shots to bring to life the fun of a ski holiday. As with all retail marketing, high quality creative was required and at a very fast turn around - we were only too happy to be involved.

agent’, our challenge was to translate this to POS and direct mail (for one of the biggest campaigns in The Co-operative Travel’s calendar) and deliver a record number of individual pieces in record time!

Ready, Steady, Dash - The Co-operative Santa Dash event promotion
Client: The Co-operative Group Title: Charity of the Year Santa Dash Brief: A large-scale curtain raiser event was needed to launch The Co-operative Charity of the Year. The Santa Dash would only be a success if enough Santas turned up, so to drive participation, Delineo produced creative that spread across
collateral including flyers, posters, banners and web banners throughout the main corporate website. For the first time, a new website was designed and built specifically for the Santa Dash.
£30,000 was raised
This was used to engage the public, inform runners and encourage registration.
Over a thousand Santas braved the cold in Manchester and London to raise more than £30,000.

No tricks, just treats for The Co-operative Travel. We give their Halloween Charity event creative are Client: The Co-operative Travel Title: Halloween Ball 2010 Brief: We were asked to develop a visual identity combining the Halloween theme and a glamorous gala dinner.
To achieve this our creatives came up with an excellent pumpkin/ disco ball design on a deep purple background, with accompanying eerie typography, in keeping with the classy yet spooky Halloween Ball. This design was then rolled out across all related print material to complete the look on the night.
For the Halloween celebrations, the Delineo team were lucky enough to be invited to the ball. Dressing up, the whole Addams Family made an appearance: Morticia, Gomez, Uncle Fester, Wednesday, Pugsley and Lurch (Authentically played by Lauren, Sam, Dave, Jade, Ant and Jason).

Raising awareness around the launch of the new E-commerce website
Client: The Co-operative Pharmacy Title: New website launch Brief: Over the past few months Delineo have been really excited to be working with The Co-operative Pharmacy team to help create an identity and awareness campaign for their new e-commerce website, which launches in early May.
As well as crafting imagery and styling for use throughout the website, we have worked on an integrated campaign of marketing communications to raise awareness and generate excitement around the new website launch.
We created a suite of photography and messages for the campaign and have gone so far as to design signage for within the new NDC Pharmacy to provide a strong brand identity for the online offering.

Driving The Co-operative Pharmacy’s new local marketing campaign
Client: The Co-operative Pharmacy Title: Local Marketing Brief: We have been working with The Co-operative Pharmacy to update all their core health service branch point of sale. We have developed design artwork templates in the form of toolkits enabling
branches to localise artwork and showcase their individual offering, but also to ensure all branches are promoting themselves in a consistent, on-brand way. After Delineo completed the design & formatting rules of The Co-operative Pharmacy brand guidelines for 2010 were applied to all of the key pieces, helping to strengthen brand awareness in branch.
Across a wide range of messages from Prescription Services (all the customer communication around a branch refit or relocation) to a suite of marketing collateral, to specifically help fight the local competition -
we’ve designed and supplied artwork for window posters, till screens, wobblers, local press adverts and door drop leaflets.

Lights, camera, action for The Co-operative Film Festival rebrand Client: The Co-operative Title: Film Festival
Brief: We were delighted to snap up the opportunity to re-brand The Co-operative Film Festival which engages and inspires young people to be co-operative and make a ďŹ lm.
Take at look at the quirky illustrative visual identity, designed to appeal to all budding young ďŹ lm-makers. We are using social media to engage with the age group and promote the festival.

One night, one world, one creative concept for The Co-operative Pharmacy
Client: The Co-operative Pharmacy Title: Suppliers Conference/ Charity Dinner
Brief: We were asked to produce creative for a dual event - Suppliers, associates and staff gathered at The Lowry Hotel for the daytime conference followed in the evening by a spectacular
Charity Dinner held at Manchester Cathedral. To capture the essence of the event, a contrasting yet complimentary design was used as the visual identity.
A strong theme of this year’s conference was The Co-operative Pharmacy’s ethical strategy and therefore it was important this was reflected in the creative.
