HOW DO ELECTRIC BIKES WORK?

How do electric bikes work?

Electric bikes are everywhere. You have probably heard about them and seen them in action. But, you may still be curious: How do they work?

Let us explain. It’s All About the Motor Traditional bikes and electric bikes are almost identical. Both have two wheels, pedals, and gears. This allows you to move around with a gas-powered bike. The motor is what makes the difference. The motor on electric bikes gives riders more control. You can pedal as you please and still enjoy the same feeling of a regular bicycle. However, when it gets difficult, you can use the motor to assist you. The motor allows you to choose your ride and flexibility. The electric bike is different from motorbikes and motorcycles that are always on power. You can cruise on electric bikes equipped with throttles, but you still have the option to pedal whenever you like. This means that you can still get some exercise while you go about your day. Three e-bike models are made by Charge. Both the Comfort and City bikes have hub motors and a throttle. You can either kick the throttle into gear by pressing your thumb with your thumb or let the bike do the pedaling for you. You can also switch between five different pedal-assist modes depending on how hard you are riding at any given moment. The Charge XC is our mountain electric bike that can handle dirt, sand and snow. It features a mid-drive motor located in the middle. There are three modes of pedal-assist. Why electric bikes?
