My wife and I are about 2/3rds through the American Economic History course (well, the lectures--maybe 1/10th through the available online reading, and being selective about that anyway) and loving it! Posted by: Tom! | July 30, 2009 at 01:08 PM Just curious, why Hobsbawm? You've made a number of cutting remarks about him in the past. I agree that The Age of Extremes is a fine book for this kind of course. Posted by: Roger Albin | July 30, 2009 at 01:26 PM Hobsbawn ftw! Posted by: Spectre | July 30, 2009 at 05:16 PM I'm also very curious as to why Hobsbawm. It seems incongruous with your review of the book: http://delong.typepad.com/sdj/2007/03/hobsbawms_age_o.html Posted by: George Colpitts | July 31, 2009 at 04:43 PM
