Today you’ll notice a difference in the physical size of the Delta Optimist.

Due to our printing press receiving the contract to print a daily newspaper, all of the newspapers currently being printed at the press have been instructed that for the sake of efficiency, all of the newspapers will now be printed the same size as the daily.

The width of the Optimist remains the same; the height will be reduced by 1.75 inches.

Moving forward, letters to the editor must be between 250 and 300 words to be considered for publication in print as well as the web. Any letters that exceed this word limit will either be edited for length or pushed to website only.

Editorial submissions from community groups will still be accepted, but it is advised that anyone wishing to submit press releases etc , contact editor Ian Jacques in advance to work out details of the submission regarding length, photo choice etc.

Any questions about these editorial changes can be directed to editor Ian Jacques via email at: ijacques@delta-optimist.com or call 604-998-3616.
