A popular community fundraiser returns on Friday (April 7) in Tsawwassen.
The 3rd Boundary Bay Beaver/Cub Apple Day fundraiser will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall with Scouts at Thrifty’s, the liquor store, breezeway area, Blendz and outside the Dollar Store.
Beaver and Cub Scouts have been active in Tsawwassen since the 1940’s Apple Day has taken a variety of forms but enthusiastic smiles have been consistent each year
Apple Day is the sole major fundraiser for Beavers and Cubs (grades K-5)
3rd Boundary Bay formed an Apple Day partnership with Thrifty Foods six years ago

What began as a donation of two boxes of apples has become a donation of up to 13 cases
“We are so very thankful to Tsawwassen Thrifty Foods for their generous contribution as our event costs are minimal and the proceeds Apple Day funds an entire year of materials and events,” said Natalie Shantz from 3rd Boundary Bay Beaver/ Cubs. “Tsawwassen Town Centre also approves our permit for Apple Day, so we have stations throughout the mall area. ”
