Over the past 20 months, the leadership of Delta Chi has often shared that it is focused on three strategic initiatives: Manpower, Member Experience, and Alumni Engagement. Member Experience has received special focus as the Board of Regents has invested heavily in the undergraduate experience. Those investments have included the one-of-akind partnership with Dale Carnegie and the recently hosted Regional Leadership Academies in January 2024. The investment also includes joining a group of likeminded fraternity and sororities measuring the member experience.

As you will read in this issue, Delta Chi has partnered with Dyad Strategies, a leading educational consultant firm, to engage in a five-year longitudinal study to assess and analyze the Delta Chi experience: the Membership Experience Survey (MES). This first of its kind assessment for Delta Chi allows us to use data to tell the story of Delta Chi and not just rely on the anecdotes we hear about from our varied experiences. Today, like never before, we need to share the tangible benefits from Delta Chi and not just how the Fraternity made us feel. The Membership Experience Survey will:

• Measure student behaviors, values and attitudes.

• Gauge member growth in a range of areas, including problem solving, social justice, ethical decision making, and conscientiousness during their experience.

• Create an understanding of how members experience brotherhood at the chapter level.

• Map individual and chapter growth.

• Provide custom reports to each chapter on its membership.

• Enhance chapter services and educational programs to meet the specific needs of each chapter.

• Measure the impact of new initiatives on the undergraduate members.

The information from the Membership Experience Survey will be used to make data-driven decisions and help to show us how to best deliver on our promise that members derive great advantages from their membership in Delta Chi. Specifically, it will help us to inform our approach on program development and membership education needs. The impact is not just at the international level as every chapter will receive a tailored report that analyzes their chapter’s responses annually. This will help chapter leadership and advisors steer their chapter in the right direction to meet future goals, create a values-based culture, and build a stronger Delta Chi brotherhood.

Over time we will be able to compare our assessment to aggregate data collected from other fraternities and from national university student assessments to compare a Delta Chi to the average student.

Initial findings from the first-year show that our chapters provide a place of belonging for our members which is so critical for today’s college student. Fraternity men have greater mental health because of their membership and the connections they make in the chapter. Our members also report high levels of satisfaction in their experience, which means they are enjoying Delta Chi and speaking highly of their experiences. These are very favorable findings for the first year and we expect to learn and do more in the future years as our data will only become stronger and trends will emerge.

We have a proud history, and the Membership Experience Survey will allow us to demonstrate the advantages we receive as members and direct us on how to ensure this proud history continues.

Fraternity manpower is essential to the livelihood, legacy, and success of the Delta Chi brotherhood. In the context of a fraternity, “manpower” refers to the collective strength and engagement of its members, encompassing both active and potential individuals who contribute to Delta Chi’s development, activities, and overall impact. Manpower is not merely a numerical count but embodies the commitment, energy, and dedication of the individuals within the fraternity. The growth of a fraternity relies on the quality and engagement of its manpower—members who actively participate, contribute to the fraternity’s mission, and collectively work towards fostering a thriving and vibrant brotherhood. The term extends beyond numbers to emphasize the value and involvement of each member as a vital resource for the fraternity’s sustained development and success.

With manpower as a main focal point of the Fraternity’s strategic direction, Delta Chi is proud of our members’ successes this past fall term. Throughout Fall 2023, fraternity membership flourished by welcoming new Delta Chi members into the brotherhood of a lifetime. Each of our new and existing chapters at 105 campuses contributed to the International Fraternity’s commitment to growth. The heartbeat of these chapters resonates in the collective strength of our 5,094 collegiate members, showcasing a commitment to fostering meaningful connections and shared values. The average chapter size stands at an impressive 49, reflecting an 11% increase from 2021-2022 and illustrating the diverse yet close-knit nature of our brotherhood.

In the spirit of growth, we are proud to announce a 2.85% increase in collegiate membership compared to Fall 2022, with 1,478 new associate members joining our ranks. This growth not only signifies the enduring appeal of fraternity life but also the collective effort of our chapters in attracting and welcoming new members. The Fall 2023 recruitment season witnessed outstanding achievements in chapter recruitment, with notable mentions going to the highest recruiting chapters. LSU leads the charge with an impressive 63 new members, closely followed by Alabama, Missouri, and Florida State.

Delving deeper into the statistics, the largest growth is celebrated in chapters where the new associate members form a significant percentage of the fall membership. Southern Arkansas leads with an astounding 137.50% growth, followed closely by Eastern Washington and Augusta. This strategic approach to growth reflects not only quantity but a commitment to fostering a robust fraternity experience. Building on the legacy of previous years, the largest chapters of Fall 2023 boast impressive numbers. Florida State, Missouri, and Alabama lead the pack, each with a membership exceeding 150. These chapters exemplify sustained excellence, embodying the principles of leadership, scholarship, and brotherhood that define our fraternity.

As the Fraternity continues to focus on thriving manpower, Delta Chi’s growth is not just measured in numbers but in the collective spirit and engagement of our members—a testament to the enduring success and legacy of the Delta Chi brotherhood. We could not be more proud of our members’ successes and are excited to see growth and evolution continue for years to come.

BEARING DOWN FOR GROWTH, RESILIENCE, AND LEGACY

In 2022, the brothers of Delta Chi at the University of Arizona embarked on a remarkable journey of rebirth and resurgence. With unwavering determination and support from dedicated alumni and the International headquarters, the Arizona Chapter celebrated the welcoming of its founding father class on March 19, 2022, marking the dawn of a new era for the Fraternity. Since that pivotal day, the chapter has experienced significant growth and challenges, all culminating in the reestablishment of the chapter’s charter on February 16, 2024.

When a provisional chapter receives its official charter, the chapter has successfully demonstrated its consistent, habitual successes in chapter operations, brotherhood, recruitment and retention, member development, risk prevention, member safety, philanthropy, service, leadership, and profound affinity to Delta Chi’s values. With Arizona Delta Chi’s rich history, it’s no wonder the chapter chartered within two years of rejoining the campus community.

Founded on May 2, 1925, and initiating over 1,700 brothers throughout its proud existence, the University of Arizona chapter managed triumphs and tribulations for several

decades. In 2012, the chapter relinquished its charter, but due to the collective efforts of dedicated alumni and International Headquarters staff, the University and IFC community approved Delta Chi’s return to campus for a spring 2022 expansion.

With its inaugural founding father class in spring 2022, the members marked a crucial step in the chapter’s development, showcasing the ongoing growth and commitment to building a strong brotherhood. Notable events during the first few months of the chapter’s resurgence were the formulation of governing documents, completing Delta Chi’s Associate Member Program, initiation, formals, and the election of the chapter’s first executive board.

The spring of 2023 brought another set of milestones, including the initiation of new Associate Members and the inaugural philanthropy week, emphasizing the chapter’s dedication to community service. Further growth was witnessed in the fall of 2023, with outstanding recruitment efforts, active participation in Delta Chi’s Week of Service, and the move into a new property.

With a place to call home, the active brothers of Delta Chi are beyond grateful for the continued support of both their Alumni Board of Trustees and their Housing Corporation - the Tucson Delta Chi Alumni Board (TDCAB). First established in 1959, TDCAB held the title to the property that has long been home to Delta Chi, and managed it in the best interest of the Arizona Chapter of Delta Chi.

Through the continued efforts of the TDCAB, especially throughout the years when Delta Chi was no longer on campus, the house corporation board, led by Justin Brown (Arizona ’94), remained dedicated and vigilant for Delta Chi to return to the University. With support from TDCAB members and the board’s long-standing intentionality, Arizona Delta Chi might not have had the opportunity to open its physical doors to new members and return to 1701 E First St.

In addition, the Chapter has an outstanding Alumni Board of Trustees, a pivotal element to the chapter’s success. ABT President, Glen D. Vondrick (Arizona ’78) provided some thoughts on alumni support and involvement for the continued success of the chapter:

Founding father and president when leading the chartering process, William Brock (Arizona ’25) said, “It was one of the most rewarding things we’ve done. Especially starting a chapter. Having all the support from our alumni, house corporation board members, headquarters, and the campus community was really amazing. The new e-board did a really good job getting it done and preparing the event. Chartering was my main goal when I became president. To see all of our hard work come to fruition and knowing that I really helped

We must not only continue to provide service, advice, mentoring, monitoring, and financial support…we must recruit new volunteers from the alumni base so there is perpetual support to not ever let what happened to our beloved Arizona Chapter ever happen again.” As part of the ABT, Glen Vondrick (Arizona ’78), Trey Granger (Syracuse ’03), Chuck Stopani (Northern Arizona ’92), Jeff Bell (Arizona ’80), Richard Freeman (Arizona ’79), Leif Hartwig (Arizona ’77), Michael Bruse (Arizona ’90), Les Roach (Arizona ’95), Ross Nunamaker (Arizona ’93), Raymond Galbreth Jr. (Iowa ’04), and Brayden Tavrytzky (Northern Arizona ’22) have been pillars of guidance, history, and direction for the new chapter.

The pinnacle of achievement was the official chartering celebration in spring 2024, a testament to the chapter’s determination and brotherhood. The Arizona Chapter Chartering Banquet, held on February 16, 2024, was a momentous occasion attended by over 50 undergraduate members, 40 alumni, and International officers of the Fraternity. The presentation of the new charter marked the official return of the chapter, symbolizing a renewed commitment to the values and traditions of Delta Chi. Throughout the chartering program, the Arizona Chapter provided thoughts on their process: “Throughout this journey, we faced the inherent challenges of establishing a new chapter in a university with a rich Greek life tradition. We navigated these challenges with resilience, always striving to improve and build upon our past experiences. The biggest challenge was integrating ourselves into a well-established Greek

the chapter make it happen was one of the coolest experiences. Being able to say that we accomplished chartering, when we heard about it from the day we joined, was really cool. I’m really proud of how it all came together.” Brock served as the first “B” (Vice President) for the renewed chapter in 2022-2023, “A” (president) in 2023-2024, and also served on the University of Arizona IFC as an executive vice president in 2023-2024.

The journey of the Delta Chi University of Arizona Chapter is a testament to the resilience, determination, and unity of its members. With a strong foundation, unwavering support from alumni, and a mission to challenge the status quo of the Arizona fraternal community and do fraternity right, the chapter looks forward to building on its legacy. “Our future goals are ambitious, rooted in the strong foundation set by our headquarters, alumni, and the founding father class. We aim to build on this legacy, fostering a community of excellence. Our commitment to making a positive impact on the University of Arizona community and upholding the values of Delta Chi remains unwavering.”

Arizona Delta Chis, new and tenured, are ready to continue fostering a community of excellence and making a positive impact on the University of Arizona community for the second century and beyond. In the words of Glen Vondrick (Arizona ’78), “we are back stronger than ever, proud and ready for the second 100 years of challenges, as the Arizona Chapter of Delta Chi Fraternity!” The return of Delta Chi to the University of Arizona is a triumph, signifying a fresh start and a chance to redefine and reimagine the Fraternity for future generations.

2023 SURVEY RESULTS AT A GLANCE

In the pursuit of continuous improvement and a commitment to fostering a thriving brotherhood, Delta Chi Fraternity commissioned Dyad Strategies, an industry powerhouse in fraternity research and assessment, to conduct a fouryear, comprehensive membership experience survey (MES) beginning in February 2023. The MES is a tool to help the International Fraternity, active members, and advisors to understand membership on a deeper level and identify behaviors to encourage a values-based brotherhood. Through this annual survey, Delta Chi will be able to improve our programs, provide stronger support, and understand what

is needed to enhance the safe and thriving culture of Delta Chi. Upon survey completion, Dyad Strategies and Delta Chi collaborates on data analyzation and creates custom reports for every chapter that completes the survey. These tailored reports provides valuable insights for chapters to make informed decisions about their future goals and areas for improvement. Our first year of the survey, based on responses from 2,760 members, offers a nuanced understanding of the Fraternity’s strengths, areas for growth, and key dynamics affecting the member experience. The following outlines the Fraternity’s benchmark year (2023) findings.

Before delving into the results, it’s crucial to acknowledge the diversity within Delta Chi. With members spanning various class years, work and housing statuses, and ethnic backgrounds, the Fraternity represents a mosaic of experiences and perspectives:

RACIAL OR ETHNIC HERITAGE

Members were asked to select their racial or ethnic heritage from a list of options, or enter another racial or ethnic heritage. The results show only data from those members who chose to share this information - 85% of survey respondents.

SEXUAL ORIENTATION IDENTITY

Members were asked to select their sexual orientation identity from a list of options, or enter another defining term. These results show data only from members who chose to answer this question - 85% of total respondents.

FIRST GENERATION

17% of Delta Chi undergraduates identify as first-generation students. This means they are the first in their family to attend a college or university.

MEMBERS WHO WORK

Nearly 50% of Delta Chi undergraduates report that they are working while attending college.

HOW MEMBERS PAY DUES

Nearly 60% of Delta Chi undergraduates pay all of their dues.

BROTHERHOOD

Delta Chi emerges as a beacon of brotherhood strength, surpassing national averages in belonging and accountability.

SOLIDARITY

This type of brotherhood emphasizes loyalty to each other beyond anything. Unity and allegiance to brothers is very important and is the top priority for new member education and Associate Member education Ideal range 3.5 - 4.0.

SHARED SOCIAL

This type of brotherhood revolves around friendship. Some men emphasize the social aspects of brotherhood, while others describe it as friendship going above and beyond outside the context of fraternity. Ideal range 3.5 - 4.0 .

The 2023 Membership Experience Survey results serve as a compass, guiding Delta Chi towards a future characterized by a strengthened brotherhood, enhanced satisfaction, and continued commitment to responsible practices.

BELONGING

This type of brotherhood transcends friendships and social interactions. Men who think of brotherhood this way feel connected to Delta Chi and describe it as “home away from home.” Ideal range 4.2 - 5.0.

ACCOUNTABILITY

This type of brotherhood goes beyond friendship or belonging and represents a mutual commitment to make your brothers better through systems of 1-to-1 and group accountability. Ideal range 4.0 - 5.0.

Through the 2023 survey results, we learned that we want to enhance the Associate Member experience to prevent attrition and increase membership satisfaction for our newest members. We also learned that although Delta chi members report lower alcohol consumption compared to peers in other fraternities, there’s still room for improvement in promoting responsible behavior and mitigating alcoholrelated risks. These two lessons are just the beginning of how the Fraternity’s partnership with Dyad Strategies will continue to create a better and stronger Delta Chi.

With 2023 benchmarking completed and 2024 surveying in progress, Delta Chi is excited to help improve the membership experience, boost belonging and meaningful connections, and provide tailored educational resources and support for members to sustain and grow in their Delta Chi affinity. Dyad Strategies LLC is a consulting firm specializing in applied research and assessment, working in partnership with colleges/universities and fraternal organizations to measure and improve the impact of their work. Partners Gentry McCreary, PhD and Joshua Schutts, PhD. are widely recognized as leading scholars in areas related to the fraternity/sorority experience and have published scholarly research related to fraternal brotherhood/ sisterhood, the psychology of hazing, and moral/ethical development of fraternity/ sorority members.

This measure indicates how happy members are with their experience, how they talk about Delta Chi, and their likelihood of Fraternity involvement post-college. It also demonstrates the willingness of chapter members to recommend Delta Chi to another.

Delta Chi members report lower alcohol consumption than peers in other fraternities. The emphasis on responsible behavior aligns with the Fraternity’s commitment to a healthy social culture.

SEXUAL ASSAULT: UPHOLDING RESPONSIBLE ATTITUDES

Delta Chi’s scores align with national averages on measures of sexual assault attitudes, emphasizing a collective commitment to fostering a safe and respectful environment.

THE GIFT OF SECOND CHANCES

CHAPTERS RALLY AGAINST BLOOD CANCERS WITH THE GIFT OF LIFE

Did you know that on average, an adult or child in the United States is diagnosed with a type of blood cancer every three minutes? Blood cancers, including leukemia and lymphoma, continue to affect countless lives across the globe. The fight against these diseases has been an ongoing battle, but organizations like Gift of Life provide hope and tangible support.

Gift of Life is a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and providing hope to individuals battling blood cancers. Established in 1991 with a mission to increase the availability of life-saving bone marrow and stem cell transplants, the Gift of Life team works tirelessly to build a diverse and expansive registry of potential donors. Gift of Life facilitates donor matches, connecting willing donors with patients in need, offering a chance for renewed health and a second chance at life.

As part of the second chance team, Delta Chi chapters and regions across North America have teamed up with Gift of Life to make a difference through impactful donor drive events. One chapter has made a significant impact through a consistent partnership with Gift of Life.

Brothers at ESU found a shared mission and united under the cause championed by Gift of Life, setting out to raise awareness about the importance of bone marrow and stem cell donations. With fervent desire to save lives resonating through their campus, they proved that, sometimes, a cause chooses you.

In spring 2022, the East Stroudsburg Chapter organized its inaugural donor drive with Gift of Life. Brothers spent days strategically stationing swabbing stations across campus, posing a simple yet powerful question:

“Would you like to save a life?” The outcome was remarkable, with over 100 individuals registering as potential donors. Shea Griffin, East Stroudsburg ’24, was a major game changer for this chapter partnership. In a brief interview, Griffin shared more about his personal experience: “My chapter first got involved with Gift of Life during the spring of 2022 semester. One of their representatives, Jocelyn, reached out to our Instagram

page and explained what Gift of Life was about. My chapter was immediately eager to help out and bring Gift of Life to our campus community. We have been running this event with them every spring semester since.” Notably, the East Stroudsburg Chapter has emerged as a donor powerhouse, spearheading the cause by registering an impressive 226 potential donors. These results are indicative of the enthusiasm and commitment displayed by the ESU brothers in mobilizing their campus community to support the Gift of Life Organization.

East Stroudsburg is not the only chapter to make a difference by partnering directly with Gift of Life. The Illinois State Provisional Chapter saw amazing success with their donor drives and made a mark within their campus community. Illinois State joins brothers from Miami University of Ohio, the University of Florida, Florida State, and Syracuse in this informal initiative with the Gift of Life. From these five chapters alone, over 90 Delta Chi brothers joined the registry and one confirmed match saved an important life, giving yet another person a second chance.

When Delta Chi’s Regents saw the amazing impact and opportunity this presented to our members, Regions IV and IX partnered with Gift of Life during regional leadership conferences in spring 2023. Greg Caufman (Virginia Tech ’92), Regent for Region IX, decided to bring Gift of Life to campus when he learned of the tremendous impact and success the East Stroudsburg chapter had with this initiative: “When I saw how the East Stroudsburg chapter not only supported Gift of Life but had matches, I thought it would be a good thing to bring to all the chapters in Region IX and let everyone know about this opportunity and participate in the cause.

Gift of Life came to the RLC at High Point, did a presentation, and just did a great job. Gift of Life was a great opportunity to support a cancer-related initiative given our commitment with the V Foundation for Cancer Research.”

The impact of these donor-driven events extends far beyond the numbers, with over 500 potential donors registering. Each swab represents hope for those silently fighting against blood cancers. Sixteen donor matches have emerged from these registrations, tangible proof that a collective effort can create a ripple effect of life-saving opportunities. Delta Chi is proud of the 16 brothers who provided a second

chance to a life in need. These members demonstrated sincere selflessness and are an example of what it means to live Delta Chi’s values and the 11 Basic Expectations. Because of Delta Chi and its Donor Circle, Delta Chi matched with:

HOW TO JOIN THE REGISTRY

Every person has the potential to save the life of someone with blood cancer. Joining is simple – it only takes two minutes and no blood is drawn. Donors must be 18 to 35 years old, in general good health and a U.S. citizen. Donors remain in the registry until age 61.

New donors swab the inside of their cheeks and complete a registration questionnaire. The swabs are tested by a lab for genetic markers, which are entered in the registry where they can be searched to find matches for patients in dire need of a transplant.

Only U.S. citizens 18 and older may join the Gift of Life Marrow Registry. Citizens of other countries can contact their local bone marrow registry to volunteer as a donor.

Campus Scene

Adelphi – Mario Mannarino

This semester has been a busy one for the Adelphi Chapter of the Delta Chi Fraternity. First off, we have hosted numerous fundraising and philanthropy events on campus. In September, we brought back the popular car smash fundraiser in which students and staff donated money to smash a car for a set amount of time, depending on how much they donated. In October, we brought back our “Deltlift” fundraiser, in which the brothers would do reps on a barbell depending on how much a person donated. These were our two most notable fundraisers of the semester so far, and we’ve already been able to raise a substantial amount of money for the fraternity and our philanthropy. Another significant achievement for our chapter was welcoming the Phi Class. This semester, three fine gentlemen accepted their bids and have been welcomed as the new associate members of our chapter. Recruitment has been, and still is, our biggest priority. The brothers have been working tirelessly to keep a strong presence on campus so these recruitment numbers stay high for future semesters. As always, we want to keep the hard work going to end the semester on a high note.

Alabama – Ethan Abbott

The Alabama Chapter of Delta Chi is delighted to share our exceptional achievements from the past semester. Over the last few months, we have made remarkable progress on multiple fronts, continuing our success as a thriving fraternity at the University of Alabama. Academic Excellence: Our commitment to academic excellence has yielded significant results. In the spring of 2023, our chapter achieved an impressive fifth place in the Greek Grade report, boasting a remarkable GPA of 3.34. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our academic committee, and we are determined to continue on this trajectory of success. New Member Initiatives: We proudly initiated fifty associate members this fall, bolstering our fraternity’s strength to one hundred and sixty active members. Notably, three of our associate members have been selected to serve on the SGA’s Lobby Board, while one was chosen to serve on First Year Council. Their involvement exemplifies the qualities of Delta Chi and demonstrates our commitment to developing future leaders. Alumni Engagement: We’ve been thrilled to witness a surge in alumni involvement. Last spring, we hosted a successful alumni event at our house, bringing together fifteen alumni to meet our current brothers. As we look ahead, we are excited to host another alumni event during the LSU game on the quad at a reserved tailgate. In every metric used to evaluate fraternities, we continue to see exceptional growth and success. We take immense pride in our members and their accomplishments. These achievements are a testament to our commitment to the values of Delta Chi and our ongoing dedication to excellence.

Appalachian State – Jacob Denton

Our chapter here at Appalachian State has been thriving! With the second largest recruitment class in four years, the chapter has more than doubled. Our chapter has made a tremendous turn around and it is all thanks to full brotherhood involvement and effort. We were very happy to host our amazing alumni on homecoming weekend and gave us the chance to reconnect yet again. From philanthropy in the community to intramural sports, our chapter has continued to positively grow our presence within Boone. One of our upcoming philanthropy events we are excited about is Battle of the Bands with local bands from around town. With the semester close to an end, the newly elected executive board is eager and ready to lead. As for the spring semester, our goals are set high and we are confident in another large recruitment class. The Appalachian State Chapter is very proud of the ongoing success that has been accomplished. We could not be more happy to welcome yet another large associate member class into the Fraternity.

Arizona – Troy Cornell

This semester we have made tremendous strides in all aspects. We moved into a new chapter house and have established the necessary framework for us to be here a long time. We took on a class of 20 new members, all of whom are super excited to be here and have shown themselves to be extremely dedicated to our continued success. Due to our increasing size and new chapter house, we were able to hold an extremely successful and larger than ever family weekend

event, where we eased parent’s doubts about their son’s decision to join a fraternity. We showed them what our values mean to us and told stories about the brotherhood we have built here. Another point of pride we talk about are our study rooms and programs, which have helped us reach the spot of the highest GPA of any fraternity at U of A. We have also gone to great lengths to further our relationship with other fraternities and sororities, hosting many crossover events with the likes of Alpha Chi Omega and Delta Kappa Epsilon. Our generous alumni have also made many appearances at the house to guide us and offer donations to help us with further construction of the house. We are extremely grateful for all the good we have received this year and look toward the future with high hopes.

Auburn – Erik Dodder

This semester marks a historic semester for the Auburn Delta Chi Chapter. Once this new fall member class of 25 is initiated we will have 85 members which is the largest number of active members since the 1960’s. We also won the All-Sports Intramural Champions trophy for our excellent performance in football, basketball, soccer, and many more. This semester, the chapter was very involved in the Founders’ Day of Giving. This Founders’ Day of Giving we were able to raise $7,563.52 on October 13th. This put us as the 3rd highest donations out of all Undergraduate Delta Chi chapters. We also won the Delta Chi Flag Challenge which is rewarded to the fraternity who donated the most money between noon-2pm on Founders’ Day. Additionally, the brothers went down to Sam Harris Park this semester to help clear out the incase plants as a service project this year. We are excited about our accomplishments this semester and look forward to keeping this momentum up heading into the spring semester.

Augusta – Christopher Barwick

The Augusta Chapter is celebrating our 40th year on campus, and we couldn’t have asked for better. We kicked off this semester by welcoming 16 new Associate Members with very bright futures ahead of them. We then held our biannual Alumni BBQ on our chapter house property, where we served Boston butts and beef brisket that we smoked the night before. As usual, it was a big success with our alumni. Our philanthropy events are going stronger than ever; during the summer, we had our annual Clippers for Cancer event, which raised around $1,800 on its own. Additionally, we are planning a golf event for later this Fall, which we are calling ‘Holes for Hope’. Overall, this semester has been really successful for us, and this will only further the growth of our chapter.

Behrend – Alex Palermo & Vitesh Sharma

The fall semester has been going splendidly for us. We will initiate two new brothers into our chapter. We had a semi-formal/Founders’ Day celebration with our alumni and brothers, which went great; everyone had a good time. The chapter is also focused on academic excellence this semester with two of our brothers. Michal Bosek, previous “A”, received the Samuel P. Black III and Susan L. Black Trustee Scholarship, and Xander Robertshaw, current “C”, received a CFA Program Student Scholarship for their outstanding performances. We also held a “Fun Run” philanthropic event during alumni and parents’ weekend in the loving memory of Colton Brown (alumnus) to raise funds for the Colton Brown Scholarship. The chapter is thriving in its involvement on campus, with the majority of the E-Board positions on IFC being held by the brothers. The chapter would also like to extend our appreciation to our “BB”

Bryant

The brothers of Delta Chi at Bryant University have had a productive start to the semester. We hosted our annual golf outing for suicide prevention and were able to raise just over $2,000. Additionally, we had the privilege of welcoming 4 new brothers (the Beta Gamma class). Our alumni weekend was also successful, with many alumni brothers returning to catch up on good times. Currently, we are planning to clean up a local hiking path for a community service project and are looking forward to continuing our great semester!

Chapel Hill – Jackson Lyman

Delta Chi at Chapel Hill has been busy recruiting and improving our brotherhood. Our brotherhood chair has had events weekly that have brought us closer as a chapter. Our recruitment chair has also been hard at work to bring in new guys to improve the chapter and our brotherhood. We also had a vintage market for charity that was a large success. Our parent and alumni weekend also had good attendance. Things are going well.

Coastal Carolina – Duy Dang

The fraternity at Coastal Carolina University knows how to have fun while upholding tradition. CCU Delta Chi hosts enjoyable pinning, initiation, and homecoming celebrations. Pinning begins the festivities by praising love and unity. CCU Delta Chi brothers and our significant others attend a gathering that develops connections and produces great memories. Delta Chi’s success secret? Our pinning ceremonies are the perfect mix of love and joy. Delta Chi amps up homecoming. Alumni entertain with stories, insight, and laughter. A reunion feels like an endless party. Delta Chi’s tradition-fun approach sets them different. Our cultures provide lifelong memories and connections, not simply rituals. CCU Delta Chi’s inspiring initiation procedure, principles, and alumni involvement guarantee a terrific experience and lifelong belonging.

Creighton University – Andrew Gronstal

This semester has been incredible for Creighton University’s Delta Chi Chapter. This fall we welcomed eight new associate members, making it our largest fall class ever. In addition, our fall class of associate members tied for the largest fall class for all other social fraternity chapters on Creighton University’s campus. This spring we are aiming for our largest freshman class ever and we are highly ambitious to grow and expand the brotherhood. This semester we have been active in philanthropy and service as well. Earlier this semester, we raised over $1,400 for the Jimmy V Foundation and a large portion of our chapter attended Dance Marathon to support our Miracle Child, Caid. A large portion

of brothers also participated in a Miracle League Baseball game for AllPlay Omaha and many other service events including “Keep Omaha Beautiful” which involved our brothers planting trees in a local park here in Omaha. Our fraternity also participated in the annual Creighton Lip Sync Battle against the other social fraternities and sororities on campus. Our fraternity is continuing to grow and creating brotherhoods for a lifetime.

Duquesne University – Rocco Caprara

This semester, the Duquesne University Chapter of Delta Chi continued to exemplify the characteristics our Fraternity was founded upon: friendship, character, justice, and education. We accomplished this by welcoming 4 new brothers to the brotherhood and giving back to the community through community engagement events. Over homecoming weekend, we teamed up with the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority to host Pie a Dchi / ZTA philanthropy event in which we rose money for the Jimmy V Foundation as well as Think Pink. Furthermore, we teamed up with Duquesne’s Best Buddies program, which resulted in numerous brothers joining Best Buddies, further promoting character and friendship. We also continued our tradition of academic excellence and maintained our position as the highest ranking academic performance of any Greek organization at Duquesne with a 3.42 overall, organizational, GPA. We are looking forward to the upcoming semester and continuing our tradition of excellence.

East Stroudsburg – Samuel Exeter

The fall semester for the Delta Chi Chapter of East Stroudsburg University has seen some amazing accomplishments so far. To start the year, we hosted our award-winning campus event, the ‘Splash Event,’ which took place on September 1st, 2023, and featured 24-foot-tall water slides and 20-foot-long slip and slides. This event drew an attendance of over 400 university students. On September 24th, 2023, we visited Spring Village Nursing Home and spent time with the residents during their recreation hours. The residents were excited to share stories and life lessons with the brothers. During the week of October 8th, we celebrated the memory of one of Delta Chi East Stroudsburg’s great members, Earl Sell, who sadly passed away due to his battle with Neurofibromatosis. Throughout the week, we engaged in activities he loved, such as baseball, dinner at Perkins, and playing video games. On October 23rd, we held our annual ‘Shave-a-Delta’ event to raise money for the Jimmy V Foundation. If we reach our goal of donations, a selection of brothers will shave their heads. Throughout the prior week, we raised $2,070 for the Jimmy V Foundation.

Eastern Illinois – Connor Redden

Looking at September, EIU Delta Chi achieved a lot in terms of social relations with non-Greek life organizations and participating in events that show that Delta Chi are honorary men on Eastern Illinois Campus. Relations were established with a few sororities that allowed for more opportunity to benefit in the realm of fundraising. We spent much time recruiting and getting our name placed more on campus, and we now have a more positive and influential view by Greek Life on Campus resulting in more opportunities for recruitment.

In October, we started the month strong with the first week being homecoming week in which we got paired with Tri Sig (Sigma Sigma Sigma) which has evolved into our best relationship with a sorority on campus. This led to EIU Delta Chi being involved in Halloween events with Tri Sig. In addition, we had a mixer with Kappa Delta that improved our relationship with our sweetheart’s sorority. We also had a few alumni come down and participate in our homecoming tailgating event. Everyone had a great time and we loved seeing the old faces and friends from the past.

Eastern Washington – Jordan Mitchell

So far in the fall quarter of 2023, the men of Eastern Washington University have made huge movements towards growth within the house and the number of members. Within the first two weeks of school, the actives recruited the largest associate member class in a very long time which is 15 guys. On top of this accomplishment, homecoming will be celebrated by partnering with Sig Ep to take the Alpha Xi Delta sorority. The current members have made huge approaches towards increasing popularity and connections on campus and are working towards a flourishing fraternity. In the upcoming month, Eastern Homecoming and Parents Weekend is happening on October 21st. Alumni events will be hosted and we’ll have plenty of pictures of updates including a potential rededication ceremony rededicating six and counting alumni.

Edwardsville – Cole Morton

The Edwardsville Chapter has been thriving as of late. Our chapter was able to initiate 12 promising members into our brotherhood of a lifetime this semester. Not only that, but our schedule has been absolutely packed. We have been very successful in increasing our campus presence and relations with other organizations from joint community service events, to coaching powder puff games, and participating in co-ed intramural sports. We have even been able to secure an event from an organization from another university. Now we haven’t just been working on our local exposure, we have been making a huge effort to break our community service record of about 300 hours collectively as a chapter from last semester as well. We have big things planned for the future like our philanthropy week and even more community service. The semester isn’t over yet, and the chapter is hungry to thrive even more while giving to our community and building better men.

Embry-Riddle – Noah Lozado

At the beginning of the fall 2023 semester, the brothers set a high bar for recruitment goals. With our new recruitment chair Jon Anderson, graduation class of Spring ’24, leading the charge, we achieved high turnouts at Meet the Greeks on September 13th. At every subsequent event, we met many promising potential new members. As recruitment concluded, we proudly pinned 15 new associate members, introducing our Delta Nu class. All of them demonstrate remarkable academics, character, and interest in our chapter’s values and leadership positions. With the associate member process going well, we look forward to initiating them and seeing the good work they will do for the chapter. In addition to the excellent recruitment process, our new Philanthropy chair Matthew Gorenstein, graduation class of Fall ’23, has redefined the impact the Embry-Riddle chapter makes in its community. Alongside our semesterly roadside cleanups, Delta Chi partnered with the Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority to help the homeless at the Calvary Christian Center in Ormond Beach. Through this partnership, both Delta Chi and Tri Sigma have made an impact in our community by clothing and feeding the homeless. We are also excited to announce our new philanthropy week, starting in the Spring of ’24, which we call Lady of Leges. Under the leadership of Brother Gorenstein, Lady of Leges will be a week of philanthropy events concluding with a final ceremony announcing our winner. With all four sororities participating, we look forward to crushing new fundraising goals for the Jimmy V Foundation and giving back to our community and Jimmy V more than ever.

Florida – Jackson Matyczyk

The Florida Chapter got off to a fast start this fall, exceeding our recruitment goal and welcoming 35 Associate Members into a brotherhood of a lifetime! We are very proud of their accomplishments so far, and cannot wait for them to become more involved both within the chapter and on campus. We have also reestablished the Florida Chapter Newsletter “The Delta Chi Gator”, which

has had huge success in relaying information to parents and alumni of our chapter. Involvement on campus has increased throughout the brotherhood, and we have many brothers involved in Student Government as well as brothers who serve as the president of a club or campus organization. We have done many philanthropy and service events this semester, including a Karaoke Night and Dunk-A-DChi, both benefiting the Jimmy V Foundation. In addition, Brother Jack Watkins (FL’24) was the highest individual fundraiser, raising a whopping $1,630 himself during the 2023 Delta Chi Bracket Challenge and will be attending the Jimmy V Classic in December at Madison Square Garden in New York City!

Gannon – Dakota Franklin

This past semester the brothers of the Gannon Chapter have tried to get involved with the community. Gannon University hosted Give Day this past semester, Give Day is where all different organizations around Gannon partake in spreading around the community and doing different activities to help the community. The brothers volunteered for the Choosen Misson Project in Erie. The Choosen Mission Project is a non profit organization where they send medical equipment all over the world for free. We spent time cleaning the equipment and putting it together. We also volunteered with the Humane Society to walk dogs and pass out water during a 5k run they hosted. Overall it was a great semester, the brothers love helping out the community in any way we can.

George Mason – Addison Klein

Our chapter started off this semester strong with an associate member class of 9. We are looking forward to starting our philanthropy event with the lovely sorority, Kappa Delta. We are already halfway through elections and having old E-board give information, tips and tricks so that the new E-board can start off strong for their positions. With the semester coming close to an end, we are planning for a brotherhood ski trip to hang out, relax, and help shake off the stress from finals.

Georgia Tech – John Currier

The Georgia Tech Delta Chi Chapter started off the semester well with an fantastic fall rush that would lead to sixteen new associate members. Throughout the semester, brothers and associate members enjoyed fun social events such as a Brave’s date night, semi-formal in Savannah, and Electric Delta Chi. The chapter also celebrated Homecoming with numerous members participating in events, and alumni from across the country coming back to participate in an alumni golf outing, Homecoming reception, and tailgate. Just recently, the chapter hosted our Pig Roast philanthropy event with a twenty-four hour tailgate and made over $5000 for the Jimmy V Foundation. The chapter is now looking forward to our upcoming Brotherhood week and a cabin retreat to north Georgia!

Hamilton College – Naval Lappalainen

This semester, the Hamilton College Delta Chi Chapter has experienced great success. We have been active participants in our campus’ Greek Life Day of Service and in food sustainability efforts on campus. We also welcomed a new pledge class.

High Point – Dalton Vaughn

The High Point University Chapter is excited to announce our official chartering! After a wonderful banquet in September, our chapter is working to continue growth in all areas. We look forward to initiating a class of 21 associate members in the coming week, our largest initiate class yet, bringing our membership up to 72 active members. In terms of philanthropy, our annual pink out party for breast cancer research raised over $800 and our PowderPuff event raised $600, both on the same day! We are looking to increase this number even more with our philanthropy week from October 30th through November 3rd! Overall, our chapter is in a great place and expects the upward trend to continue.

Huntsville – Daniel Halley

Since the end of the spring 2023 semester, the Huntsville Chapter of Delta Chi has been working to strengthen its brotherly bonds and the bond with its community. With our annual volleyball philanthropy tournament, Jimmy V-ball, we raised $800 and were able to send $6100 to the V Foundation for cancer research over the course of the whole year. Our fundraising efforts have also paid off this year, with $6700 coming from brothers and friends volunteering at Talladega, and even more coming from future events. We have grown our brotherhood as well through a camping trip to Cathedral Caverns State Park over the summer, and a lock-in at the fraternity house. With the rest of the fall semester, we plan to keep working on our bonds with another brotherhood trip and hold many more small events with friends, alumni, and our 18 new initiates.

Illinois – Christopher Stefani

The fall semester for the Illinois Chapter was headlined by house improvements, our 100th anniversary, and our first philanthropy since before COVID. We started off the semester by refurbishing the second and third floors of the chapter house. This was the first time that the floors had seen renovations in over 20 years. In October, we held a dinner philanthropy, where we served chicken and waffles. This was our first successful philanthropy since before the pandemic, and we were able to raise just under $1,000 for the V Foundation. The headline of the semester was our 100th anniversary as a chapter. During Homecoming, we welcomed alumni from every generation to the chapter house to eat lunch and attend our 100-year ceremony with the Executive Director of The Delta Chi International Fraternity, Karl Grindel. The event was very successful, and we thank everyone who attended for making it such a special day.

Illinois State – Tyler Hochstatter

Delta Chi reestablished its presence at Illinois State University in the Fall of 2022. After losing University Recognition in 2017, Delta Chi prioritized a return to the campus; Barrister Capital held ownership of the largest fraternity house at Illinois State. The “Delta Group” Founding Fathers of the Illinois State provisional chapter started things off strong by initiating 44 brothers in their first year. They are now poised to move into their house at 400 W. Willow St. in Fall 2024. The Associate Members recruited this fall take pride in acknowledging the fact that they will be the first group of Delta Chi’s to occupy this house since the “Gamma” group closed in 2017.

Kansas – Kyle Leathers

On October 21st, the Kansas Chapter of Delta Chi had our Centennial Celebration of our chapter being on campus for 100 consecutive years. For the event, we had over 400 alumni come to the event to reminisce, share stories, and create new friends and relationships. The event took place at our chapter house, where we served food and beverages, while the actives in the house gave room tours and updates to alumni about plans and what has been going on the past couple here at the Kansas Chapter House. After a couple of hours at the chapter house, we continued the celebration and headed to Allen Fieldhouse where we had guest speakers like Travis Goff (University of Kansas Athletic Director), Patrick Alderdice (“AA” International President), and many more! We want to thank all the alumni and party organizers for making this happen. It was truly an honor to experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity like this!

Kansas State – Matthew Long

We are thrilled to share that our chapter recruited a record 31 brothers into the fall class, our largest since 1992! This is a massive accomplishment that took the support of the entire chapter. Beyond recruitment, we finished this spring with a 3.49 GPA which was 3rd on campus out of 21 fraternities. In every aspect of Fraternity life, Delta Chi at Kansas State is thriving. We started the fall semester by hosting a sand volleyball tournament for new members of sororities on campus. Over 350 women came to play and support their sisters. In October, our Men’s Basketball Coach, Jerome Tang, visited our chapter and spoke with us for 45 minutes. After a year that included a run to the Elite 8 and being named the Naismith Men’s College Coach of the Year, it was an honor to host Coach Tang at our chapter. From philanthropies to dad’s weekend and football tailgates, it’s been an eventful fall semester for our chapter and we are excited for what’s next.

Kennesaw State – Nathaniel Shanks

This semester has been one for the books! We are happy to announce some major changes to the chapter, the biggest one being we moved! We have moved chapter houses to West 22 allowing us to have more of a single manor style house allowing us more flexibility with events and brotherhood. We have had many brotherhood and alumni events as well, we had over 60 alumni and active brothers rent out a section at a Braves game. We have had countless dinner parties growing our professional development. We had an outstanding Founders Day Celebration with the Atlanta Area Alumni Chapter, Football tailgates and 1000+ Halloween mashups! We are planning an amazing semiformal up in Gatlinburg, TN and are exciting to welcome a new class of 9 into the fraternity. We have had a great year this far and can’t wait to see what is around the corner.

Kent State – Damian Augenstein

Fall 2023 has been eventful for the Kent State Delta Chi Chapter. This semester we put a focus on building our brotherhood bond and making more connections on campus with other clubs and the Greek life community. From tailgating the Kent Football games to playing Kickball for another fraternity’s philanthropy, our chapter has made an effort to establish ourselves on campus and we look forward to continuing that in the semesters to come. On October 21st, we hosted our annual homecoming pig roast at Dix Stadium! We served our alumni, their families, and countless other people in and out of Greek Life. It was definitely a day to remember!

Kettering-A – Nate Stevens

To start off, We’ve raised money with our neighboring fraternity, SAE. Raising $200. Three of our brothers (David Hadden, Daniel Hadden, and Nick Buchholz) have been accepted to Phi Gamma Ahlpa, and another two brothers (Drew Zolenski and Aaron Spengler) have joined the Omega Society. Newly initiated Sweethearts Claire Sandlerlin and Makenna Maher. We’ve recognized these two have been helping the chapter a lot, and we thought it was appropriate to give them this opportunity to be SweetHearts. We have gotten successful events like

Burgers and Beaches, where we fire up the grill and play volleyball with incoming students, and Delta Chi’s famous “Fry Friday,” where anyone could join and have a place to hang out to fry food of their choosing, followed with snacks such as mozzarella sticks and root beer provided by us members, playing “DX Mini Golf,” where students and current members play mini golf with ice cream, and “LAN party,” where members set up PC’s and Gaming consoles to play games with guests. With our hard work and bids handed out, five bids have returned. Keeping the member count above 20. Finally, we’ve also fundraised at CedarPoint, raising an estimated $900.

Kettering-B – Caleb Anderson

Over the past 6 months Delta Chi has been diligently working and have been recognized for our accomplishments, receiving an award from our international headquarters for our dedication towards academics. In addition to our academic success, we have had an extremely successful recruitment season, in part due to exceptional guidance from Delta Chi international, welcoming 6 new brothers into the brotherhood of a lifetime. The Kettering Delta Chi Chapters have also recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of our founding, where we had a chance to reconnect with alumni, new and old, along with sharing stories of our time in Delta Chi. Alumni Adam Nowiski was nominated for, and received the Delta Chi Chapter Luminary award, awarded to those who exhibited exemplary dedication toward the core values of Delta Chi. The past 6 months have brought lots of change, and we are excited to see what the future holds.

Kingsville – Justin Cappadona

This year, the chapter began with a high number of associate members, similar to last year. To ensure high retention rates, the chapter has been providing quality education to the associate members to help them understand how the chapter operates. Additionally, the chapter is closely monitoring the grades of each associate member and ensuring that active members can assist or guide them to available resources. Earlier in the semester, our campus hosted a Student Leadership Conference that lasted for a day. The conference provided valuable lessons to the chapter leaders in attendance, teaching them how to sustain the chapter, identify organizational weaknesses, and implement improvement strategies.

Later in the semester, the chapter conducted two fundraisers. One was a successful burger sale where chapter members cooked fresh burgers all day and nearly sold out. The other was a pretzel sale, with the sweetheart assisting throughout the process. In October, the chapter hosted what could be considered the best Founders Day celebration seen by the Kingsville chapter, with many of our alumni in attendance. This coincided with our campus’s homecoming week, contributing to the high attendance. Most recently, we conducted another fundraiser featuring our traditional sausage wraps.

Lake Forest – Matthew Carey

The Lake Forest College Chapter of Delta Chi has been on a roll this fall, achieving remarkable successes that have left a lasting impact on campus. First and foremost, our chapter soared during the recruitment season, adding 7 exceptional new members to our brotherhood. Their enthusiasm and dedication have invigorated our chapter’s spirit and commitment to our values. During homecoming, our fraternity showcased its excellence on multiple fronts. One of our brothers was crowned homecoming king, a testament to the respect and admiration our chapter enjoys on campus. In addition, we excelled in campus competitions, demonstrating our collective strength and unity. Furthermore, we’ve forged deeper connections with alumni and other GreekLife chapters on our campus, kindling the flames of brotherhood and ensuring a strong and supportive network for our members. As we continue to thrive, the Lake Forest College Chapter of Delta Chi looks forward to a future filled with even more accomplishments and continued growth.

Lehigh – Banks Grumieaux

The Delta Chi brothers of Lehigh University have had an amazing semester thus far. Upon returning to school for the fall semester of 2023, we have focused on community service and philanthropy. We have diligently spent countless hours planning our biggest philanthropy event of the year, a volleyball tournament donating to the Lymphoma Research Foundation. This was one of our biggest fundraisers last year and we expect a similar turnout for this year’s event scheduled for early December. As for our community service, we have been to the Victory House three times this semester as a brotherhood. This is a Social Services Organization that enables us to give back to our community by helping those less fortunate. Aside from our community involvement, our brotherhood continues to spend countless hours together through basketball events, intramural sports, and over meals every day. Additionally, one of our most valued achievements as a brotherhood has been achieving the highest grade point average among all Greek organizations at Lehigh for the fourth consecutive semester.

Little Rock – Drake Alstadt

This semester kicked off with incredible momentum since our return to campus! We’re celebrating some major wins, starting with our victory in the Intramural Football competition here at UA Little Rock. Our philanthropy event in support of the Jimmy V Foundation was a huge success, making a meaningful impact. We are starring in this year’s Boat Regatta and have high hopes of winning it as we always do in the past. What’s even more exciting is our chapter growth—we’ve nearly doubled in size, and the quality of our new members is very promising. This semester’s associates, all focused on STEM majors, are not only boosting our numbers but also elevating our GPA to make it the best across campus. The dedication we have seen these new members bring is truly inspiring. It is fantastic to see our community thriving with such amazing talent and achievements. Our Exec board on top of that is effectively communicating and we have more support than ever from students and faculty in regard to our events! This semester will be one for the books!

Long Beach – Derek Banuelos

As the Long Beach Chapter’s “E”, I redeveloped our relations with our alumni by bring back traditions such as broomball, which is a social hockey event. Actives and alumni got together at an ice rink that we had rented out, and we battled each other in an intramural game of hockey. This was a huge success, that we then decided to have another social hockey event between the actives and alumni, but this time we were spectators at the Kings versus Ducks preseason game in Anaheim, California. Due to the results of these social events, we united brotherhood between the current actives and the alumni that were once actives in their time. It was a remarkable experience to connect with my older brothers, and develop relationships that will benefit us in the future.

LSU – Nick Raia

The Louisiana State University Chapter kicked off the Fall semester with an Associate Member class of roughly 60 young men. This is the largest class in LSU Delta Chi history and one of the biggest classes on campus. We retained strong numbers from last year with one of the highest GPAs on campus and the new class has added to those numbers to build a strong chapter size. We hosted very successful alumni weekend events with a large turnout for our brothers to meet some of the prominent figures from the chapter’s past. Our largest parents’ weekend was a huge success for every brother and their families with many relationships forming to promote future job opportunities for our men. With generous alumni support, we ranked in the top 5 highest fundraising chapters for the Delta Chi Educational Foundation, which is something we are extremely proud of. Also, a huge congratulations goes out to our flag football team for winning the Fraternity Intramural Championship. As another semester comes to a close, our drive for strength and excellence in the future has only grown. GEAUX TIGERS!

Marquette – Thomas Dierbach

The fall semester at Marquette has featured immense success, growth, and recognition for our chapter. The chapter was recognized as the Fraternity of the Year at Marquette University for 2023, a huge accomplishment. Our men were also recognized nationally by the fraternity, earning both the Award of Excellence, which “recognizes chapters that demonstrated outstanding performance in Delta Chi’s core competencies,” and the Core Competency Award of Advancing Justice, which recognizes excellence in Health & Safety, Operations & Financial Management, and Housing. This recognition was driven by the chapter’s conceded efforts in recruitment, brotherhood, and community involvement. This community involvement has been displayed through

participation in a community-based clean-up project, a Feed My Starving Children outing, and multiple philanthropic events highlighted by the annual Delta Dogs event. All in all, the chapter has been flourishing as of late and will look to carry the momentum and thrive in the coming terms.

Miami – Aidan Scott

This semester has been one for the books. We have won the Presidents Cup and Chapter Excellence through Miami. Our “A” Taha Sharaf won the Dr. Nault Scholarship and a leadership award through Delta Chi. Our “B,” Brendon Han, won the Chapter Luminary and Collegiate Outstanding Leadership Award. Our “E” Aidan Scott won the Rising Greek Leader of the Year through Miami; he also hosted about 20 alumni from the class of ’62-’64 for dinner at the chapter house, which was a great event. We completed over 760 service hours and raised $3,000 for Jimmy V. We also won many different intramural sports championships. We have had many fun brotherhood events and social events and continue to set the bar for Fraternity men on Miami’s Campus. We currently have 120 active members and look forward to pushing it to around 160 during the upcoming spring rush. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to 91 consecutive years on campus at Miami - longest running fraternity at the University of Miami Ohio!

Michigan – Douglas Styles

Our chapter has excelled this semester. We have 34 new members and are ranked as one of the top social chapters at Michigan. The brotherhood is incredibly close; we recently had our own football tournament and will be going to Canada this weekend. The chapter is off to a great start this year.

Minnesota – Nicholas Ballweg

Fall 2023 has been an exciting semester for the men of the Minnesota Chapter. The new school year brought some big improvements to the chapter house, with the addition of a fenced yard and renovations in the living area and basement. A highlight of the semester was in September when the chapter participated in the Greek Homecoming competition. Led by brother Josh Fowler, we placed second in the pomp judging with our pairing of Delta Gamma and had a lot of fun doing events with other houses throughout the week. The week ended with the Homecoming parade, which is always an event a lot of alumni and their families come to watch and enjoy along with active members. The Minnesota Chapter has also had multiple successful philanthropy social media campaigns this semester, raising over $300 for the Jimmy V Foundation. We look forward to a great spring semester.

Mississippi State – Gavin Myers

This semester has been very successful for the Mississippi State Chapter. We started off the semester with a successful date party at an off-campus venue. On the community service front, we teamed up with our local Habitat for Humanity and helped them raise money to help those in need. For our brotherhood event, we took a trip to the Ocoee River in Cleveland, Tennessee. We spent the weekend in a cabin and went white-water rafting, which brought our members closer together. We also organized various smaller activities to strengthen our bonds. Lastly, we welcomed 15 new members into our chapter this semester. It’s been a semester of success and growth, and we’re looking forward to what’s next for our chapter.

Missouri – Thom Molen

The Fall has been an exciting and busy time for the men of the Missouri Chapter! We started out the semester with a successful recruitment season and pinned 48 members of our Gamma Alpha associate member class. These young men have been getting connected to the chapter and getting adjusted to Mizzou with the support of the rest of the brothers. We were lucky enough to be paired with the women of Pi Beta Phi for homecoming and won second place

overall! We got first place in Campus Decorations, Banner, and Talent as well as second place in the parade, so it was a super successful year. The rest of the semester has been filled with joint tailgates with other fraternities, serenades, sorority philanthropy events, and more. We’ve had a few brothers come visit us from Kansas State, Truman State, Missouri State, and others which has been great to have them here. The brothers have been staying involved on campus by holding leadership positions in organizations such as Mizzou Marketing Club, the business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi, the service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega, and Mizzouthon which raises money for the on-campus women and children’s hospital. Last chapter we elected our new executive board, and the future is looking bright for the Missouri Chapter! MIZ! ITB!

Montclair – Brendan Knepper

The brothers of the Montclair Chapter have had remarkable events and numerous memories from the first half of this semester with our alumni with more upcoming events and plans to keep our bond strong. At the beginning of the semester, we held our first event at Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the first week of NFL football. We had about 20 active members and 10 alumni come order wings and hang out for a few hours. Our next event was after our Homecoming showcase hosted at the Alexus in Little Falls, New Jersey. The active members of our chapter were able to bond with our alumni for a few hours while we talked about their experiences in the fraternity and our future for the chapter. The final event that I plan on having for the end of this semester is a happy hour at Murphs Tavern, New Jersey. The event will be very quick and relaxed before we all go out to Hoboken, New Jersey, where the active members will be able to have their last night to interact with our alumni before the end of the semester. For the spring semester, our goal is to have another 3 events including going to a New York Yankees game and a possible golf outing.

North Alabama – Ali Stapleton

This semester, the North Alabama Chapter has focused on increasing our campus presence through our fundraising for the Jimmy V Foundation and by increasing our service to our community. We’ve been hosting events where brothers paint small portraits in exchange for donations and these have been huge successes, even receiving compliments from our dean of students. We then followed these events by making efforts to help clean up local rivers and parks near our campus. For the remainder of our semester, we have been focused on preparing for our campus’s return of formal rush and we are excited for the opportunity to share our bond of brotherhood.

North Georgia – Alec Genovese

Hey everyone, from the University of North Georgia’s Delta Chi Chapter! We’ve had a semester to remember. Our “Dynamic Duos” costume social at JB’s, the local hotspot, was a hit—over 80 people came out to revel in the festivities, strengthening our brotherhood and making it a night to remember. In the athletic realm, we’ve been leaving our mark in intramurals, especially dodgeball. These events keep us active and solidify our sense of team camaraderie. The pinnacle of our semester was attending Founder’s Day, where we were honored to meet the Delta Chi International President. This inspirational meeting provided a deeper understanding of Delta Chi’s broader goals and how we contribute to that legacy. Lastly, we celebrated the arrival of our new associate members with a traditional late-night run to Waffle House. It’s becoming a cherished ritual that’s all about bonding and, of course, waffles. From unforgettable socials to athletic escapades, to rubbing elbows with fraternity royalty, this semester had it all. We’re excited to see what’s next!

Northern Illinois – Luke Tranel

This past fall semester has been very productive for the Northern Illinois Chapter. To kick off the school year we started by having all of our members volunteer to help move in new students on campus at their dorms. During this semester we were also able to pair up with Sigma Sigma Sigma to do a joint philanthropy carnival event containing a car smash, dunk tanks, and plenty of food. For the event we were able to work with a PALS shelter to bring local dogs out to visit with the students as they stopped by throughout the day too. The event was received very well by the rest of the school and we look forward to bringing this back in future years. Later on in the semester, during our week of homecoming, we had many alumni stop by throughout the weekend. It was great to catch up and visit with them as they got a chance to come back and see the state of our chapter as we continue to grow. We still have many things still planned for the end of the year including many brotherhood events around the holidays and our annual philanthropy nacho night in the coming weeks. We continue to thrive and are focused on continued growth as we transition into 2024.

Quinnipiac – Ryan Fennelly

This fall, the Quinnipiac chapter has taken great leaps and has progressed more than ever. We had a great recruitment and took 19 new associate members and plan to initiate them on November 11th. We recently had our first semi-formal as a fraternity, which was great and was fun. We expect that our chapter will be chartered by the end of this semester, which would be a huge leap for us. Right now, we are running our fundraiser for the Jimmy V Foundation and plan to hold a pizza-making fundraiser for the Jimmy V Foundation as well. Our chapter is succeeding and progressing better than ever and we’re excited to be finally chartered.

Rhode Island – Fernando Kerrigan-Mock

This semester in Rhode Island, we’ve been all about bringing our brothers and alumni closer together. We’ve been hanging out a ton, hitting the golf courses, fishing, and just enjoying each other’s company. Our Annual Alumni BBQ was a blast! It was awesome to catch up with old friends as well as meeting brothers from different times in Delta Chi history. Some of us met brothers we’d never had the chance to meet before, which was a great experience for them. We’ve also been making our mark on campus. A bunch of our guys ran in a 5K recently to help raise awareness for mental health. It was great to show our support for such an important issue and do it together as a brotherhood.

Tarleton – Cole Taylor

This semester has flown by, marked with success on and off campus. Starting in the summer we hosted our 10th annual Alumni Golf Tournament raising $6,000 for chapter funds and connecting founding fathers of the chapter with recently initiated members and their families. Then, moving into recruitment, we pinned 16 associate members. Going forward to the end of the semester we celebrated a fantastic homecoming weekend and look forward to rapidly approaching fundraising events and our fall formal. Graduating this semester are Will Blansett “D”, Randon Grimm, former “D” and “F”, and current “B”, and Cole Taylor, former “B” and Recruitment Officer, and current “E”. Cole also received recognition campus-wide as Tarleton’s Greek Man of the Year.

Temple Chapter – Parker Stevenson

This past term we had successes such as a homecoming tailgate, community service, and our first semester with our new chapter house. At Temple, we have a low achieving football team, but on homecoming weekend, we come together as a college to support our team. Before the game, we set up a tailgate that involved brothers, alumni, family, and friends. It was a very successful event where everyone came together and we had the opportunity to meet new member’s families. In addition, as a chapter, we partnered with different sororities to host community service events such as cleaning up the surrounding Philadelphia area. It was great to hear positive feedback from people that live in the area. Lastly, we acquired our new permanent chapter house, making our newer chapter feel more official. This new 10-person house was an upgrade from the 5-person house we had for the first couple years of our chapter. I personally have been in the fraternity since the first semester and when I walked into the new house for the first time, I felt very proud to be a part of the Temple Chapter and knew at that moment our future is bright.

Texas Tech – Desmond Roldan

Delta Chi at Texas Tech has had a remarkable semester so far, filled with notable accomplishments that showcase our dedication to both our fraternity and our community. Among these achievements are the successful party we hosted with the renowned rapper MadeinTyo, the chapter room renovation at our lodge, the unforgettable homecoming with Alpha Delta Pi, and our successful alumni golf tournament in Dallas. Our fraternity’s highlight was undoubtedly the electrifying party with MadeinTyo. This event not only entertained our members but also brought the campus community together, demonstrating our ability to organize and execute successful, high-profile events. In addition to our social achievements, we demonstrated our commitment to our chapter’s house, by renovating the chapter room at our lodge. We worked hand in hand with associate members and alumni on our housing corporation to come together to make our home look better. Collaborating with Alpha Delta Pi for homecoming highlighted our commitment to fostering strong relationships with other Greek organizations, emphasizing the importance of unity and cooperation within the Texas Tech community. Finally, our alumni golf tournament in Dallas was a testament to our commitment to our housing corporation. By raising thousands of dollars, we ensured that future generations of Delta Chi members will reap the benefits of the hard work we have put down.

Tri-State – Jacob Myers

The fall semester of 2023 is coming to a close. The Tri-State Chapter of Delta Chi has strived to rise to the occasion, especially after many brothers graduated last semester, leaving us with 22 active members within the fraternity. We are admitting two new members this semester, and groundwork is being laid down for the spring semester to welcome a new generation of Delta Chi members.

During this past semester, we were ranked #1 among fraternities in academics on Trine’s campus, and we will continue to strive for even greater academic achievements. Furthermore, the chapter’s alumni have established the Educational Foundation of the Tri-State Delta Chi fraternity to reward brothers for their dedication and hard work to the fraternity. This allows our alumni to donate directly to the brothers and the fraternity itself, as opposed to donating through other entities such as the university. During the last Alumni Weekend, we were able to award the brothers a total of $2,500 in scholarships, with additional funds reserved for next year. We eagerly anticipate another Alumni Weekend to coincide with our 54th anniversary this spring.

USP / St Joseph’s – Matthew Drucker

In the fall 2023 semester, our chapter of Delta Chi has worked hard to raise awareness among the Saint Joseph’s University student body, and I am thrilled to share our recent successes and activities from the term. Our fundraising efforts took center stage with an exhilarating chess tournament that not only challenged minds but also raised significant funds for our fraternity. Although the tournament had a limited number of participants, we plan to host monthly events and anticipate a larger turnout each month. Additionally, we organized a philanthropy event—a fall-themed cake pop sale—with all proceeds going toward the V Foundation.

Our commitment to the environment and the local community shone through with our consistent biweekly Clark Park clean-up events. Not only did we ensure our campus remained clean and inviting, but we also demonstrated our dedication to improving our community. Every Sunday, we do our part to clean up our local park.

Villanova – Luke Hurst

After a great Spring, the brothers of Delta Chi at Villanova wanted to keep it rolling. With a new recruitment process implemented at Villanova, we did well in maintaining average growth compared to campus while maintaining our standards of quality members. As well as focusing on the new members, we got to see our first class of graduates, the class of 2023, which consisted of 15. We also held our first-ever alumni event, a homecoming tailgate on October 28th. Setting the standard of what alumni represent, we had a great showing of both current members and alumni coming back from all over the country. We also went to volunteer at Christian Street YMCA for two events, one being Villanova’s Day of Service. We have been gathering our chartering documents and submitting them for approval.

Virginia Tech – Ian Trainor

Building off the momentum we gained last semester, the brothers at Virginia Tech wanted to focus most on our recruitment numbers this fall. We knew that if we started the semester off strong with a large Associate Member class, we could build off it in all other facets of the fraternity, and that’s exactly what we did. Despite this semester being an extremely competitive recruitment season, the Virginia Tech chapter received thirty-five accepted bids, toppling all previous recruitment numbers in my tenure as a Delta Chi. To put that in perspective, we received the third most accepted bids in IFC and also had one of the best bid acceptance rates. On top of recruitment, our Alumni weekend saw one of the largest turnouts in the past three years, and our philanthropy was still successful. Our executive board can transition happily, knowing that we, as a chapter, accomplished quite a lot this past year.

West Chester – Tyler Pekofsky

As an emerging chapter, one of our biggest setbacks was alumni involvement. We had little to no connection with our alumni who started the chapter back in the 1990s. However, two of our AMs’ dads are founding fathers, and we decided to have our first annual Founder’s Day event. We invited alumni and our dads and with the help of the founding fathers, we were able to slowly grow our connection with alumni. We are very grateful to them and recognize that they are a fantastic tool to help us grow our chapter back to where it was in the 1990s and 2010s. We may be small, but the seeds are being planted for a revitalization of Delta Chi at West Chester.

Whitewater – Matthew McCormack

The brothers of the Whitewater Chapter have had an exhilarating start to the year so far. Starting off with 23 bids extended with our fall rush, we are on pace to greatly enlarge our chapter. As the semester has gone on we have immersed ourselves in numerous community service and fundraising events. With highway cleanups and bingo with our closest nursing home, the brothers have gotten out and shown our true generosity to the community. With some of the biggest events coming up soon, the brothers are working around the clock to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible. With formality right around the corner, we are participating in different ways to raise money, such as fundraising collaborations with sororities and bag tournaments. Another strong aspect going on this semester is our social involvement. We have had numerous socials with sororities and fraternities alike that are establishing a well-built connection here on this campus. Overall, we have had a great start and can’t wait for what the rest of the year has in store.

William & Mary – Russell Burns

This semester has been one for the books, especially the last month. Our chapter raised almost $3,000 during our annual “Pie a Dchi” philanthropy event, which we hosted during our widely attended Mother’s Weekend. Following this weekend was our “Homecoming” week, where us and the Omicron Beta chapter of Chi Omega organized tons of fun events--among them, a serenade, a public lake cleanup, and parade float band composed of members from both organizations. Our float won 2nd place overall, earning $750 in prize money. Most recently, our chapter collaborated with a local school club and campus authorities to rent out an academic building for the evening to organize a “Nerf Night” brotherhood. Lastly, we have our annual brotherhood retreat coming up. Our chapter has really made a social and community impact this semester, and we look forward to seeing how our newest class of members will carry on the energy!

Wisconsin – Nathan Holland

In the past semester, the Wisconsin chapter has continued its impressive track record of achievements, making a significant impact both academically and within the community. Notably, our chapter maintained its position among the top fraternities for GPA, underscoring the commitment of our members to academic excellence. In terms of community service, we made a positive difference through our participation in the homecoming blood drive, where we donated blood to help those in need. We also dedicated our time and effort to volunteer for the Habitat for Humanity Rake-A-Thon, exemplifying our strong commitment to supporting and improving our local community. Furthermore, the semester was marked by a momentous achievement as our former BB, Alan Udell, ascended to the role of Regent of Region V. Alan’s invaluable contributions and dedication to our chapter’s functionality and success played a pivotal role in this accomplishment. These achievements collectively highlight the Wisconsin chapter’s unwavering commitment to excellence, both in academics and community engagement, and reinforce our significance within the fraternity.

CALL TO THE 63RD

International Convention

TO THE MEN OF THE DELTA CHI FRATERNITY, alumni members, alumni chapters, student members, and associate members of undergraduate chapters and provisional chapters.

AS THE FIFTY-FORTH “AA”, I do hereby proclaim that the sixty-third International Convention will convene at the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa in the city of Miami in the state of Florida at six in the evening, Wednesday the thirty-first of July, two thousand twenty-four. Said Convention shall continue through scheduled adjournment on the third day of August.

THE BOARD OF REGENTS IS HEREBY CALLED INTO SESSION starting at nine o’clock in the morning, Tuesday the thirtieth of July, two thousand twenty-four at the same location.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Delta Chi Fraternity to be affixed.

DONE AT THE CITY OF INDIANAPOLIS, the first day of April in the year two thousand twenty-four and in the one hundred thirty-fourth year since the founding of The Delta Chi Fraternity.
