Caterpillar D9H/D594C/594H repair/conversion process. The extensive Delta repair process incorporates a thorough evaluation involving more than 300 tests and inspections. Critical torques, clearances and pressure settings are measured, adjusted if necessary and recorded.

1. Physical/Technical Inspection and Analysis: The first step is a detailed and extensive inspection and evaluation of all aspects of the machine after which it is thoroughly cleaned to remove all exterior dirt and grime using a high pressure, warm water jet.

2. Engine: A thorough diagnostic and troubleshooting check of the engine is undertaken with components that do not comply with the manufacturers specifications reconditioned or replaced.
3. Cooling system Cooling for engines is important especially in hot countries. Radiator, water-pump, hoses, thermostat and V-belts are checked and replaced if necessary.
4. Frame and Body The chassis and track frames are inspected, and if necessary, are straightened, welded and reinforced; linkage pins, shaft bearings or bushes that show extensive wear are replaced.
5. Undercarriage The wear of each individual undercarriage part is measured, including track chains and groups, pins and bushings, sprockets and segments, track shoes, rollers, idlers and track frame components and replaced if necessary.
6. Transmission and Torque Convertor: Each component is inspected, thoroughly tested and overhauled where necessary.

7. Steering Clutches/Brakes and Final Drives: Critical systems, clearances and pressure settings are tested to verify that they comply with stringent manufacturer’s specifications and standards.
8. Hydraulic system: Hydraulic system are brought back to original levels of performance and reliability.
9. Electrical system: Starter motor, alternator, sensors and the wiring harness are checked and replaced or repaired as required.
10. Operator station: The operator station is checked, and the old style seat is repaired or replaced. Instrument and operational testing is conducted to ensure field performance.
11. Hydraulic conversion: Mechanical controlled pipelayers will be upgraded with our own design joystick controlled hydraulic powered winches. Bosch Rexroth hydr. motors and Paccar-Braden are used on all our machines. Free- fall winches can be installed on request. New ropes are installed on all our machines before shipment to the jobsite.

12. Certified ROPS: All machines are equipped with our own designed O-ROPS protective structure. Our ROPS structure is push tested according to the ISO 3471 requirements. An enclosed Cab can be installed as well.
13. Rear Pulling Winch: Machines can be equipped with PTO or hydr. driven rear pulling winches.
14. Performance Testing: Quality Control is integral to our repair process. The tests routinely performed include lift test, throttle response, stall speed rpm, transmission response, hydraulic and pilot relief valve pressures and other general functional test such as steering- and brake performance.
15. Sandblast and painting After sandblasting, the entire machine gets two complete coats of paint in our own professional paint facility and new identifying Caterpillar graphics are applied.
15. Final Pre-Delivery inspection A professional Delta pre-delivery inspection is carried out by our technical staff before shipment to customers to safeguard the job-ready status of our machines. All machines supplied by Delta include parts, workshop and operators manuals.
