Pi zza leads a grow ng enu at Di zzy’s Pub
Dizzy’s Pub in Valders has evolved into a great place for food and beverage in its first 18 months.
The path has been filled with challenges, but owners Dale and Mel Folz will be the
first to tell you that those challenges have brought blessings in disguise. As they continue to grow and improve their menu, their pizzas have gained a reputation for being “some of the best pizzas around.” The growth in the pizza
business at Dizzy’s Pub can be traced back to one of those “hurdles” that the owners encountered in their business start. Among the many challenges they faced was an electrical fire in their kitchen. Faced with the need to gut their whole kitchen, the Folz’s dug in their heels and found ways to adapt and innovate. The result was a silver lining that honed and perfected their pizza offerings.
“We were able to get a makeshift pizza kitchen up and running which has really surprised us with the great response to our pizzas,” Dale said. “ It was maybe a blessing in disguise to go through this.” The experience of recreating and regenerating new ideas has been a hallmark of the owners and their staff. “We are having a lot of fun developing our menus as well as bettering the guest experience.”
Customer response positive Along with getting favorable responses for creating the best pizza around, Dizzy’s consistently earns other common positive reviews for • Awesome food • Great prices • Friendly staff • Fun Atmosphere • Accommodating menus that meet dietary restrictions ( i. e. gluten free)
Menu options
Customers have the flexibility to order their pizza the way they like it. The homemade pizzas are made-to order. Gl uten free crusts are available. Appetizers are also home made. The menu includes the likes of battered veggies, mozzarella sticks, cheese curds, fresh potato and sweet potato chips, onion rings, brat bits, mini tacos, corn dogs, crab rangoon, chicken strips and fries.
Dizzy’s Pub also features fabulous broasted chicken both for dining in and carrying out. Buckets-to-go are a popular option. The unique sandwich menu at Dizzy’s highlights a bruschetta
chicken option. Some favor the Porky Pig burger, while others opt for the smothered burger or chicken sandwich, covered in green peppers, mozzarella cheese and other toppings. The menu also includes a wide
array of mouth-watering wraps.
Fridays are fish days at Dizzy’s with several options to enjoy the standard Friday fare. In addi tion to broasted chicken and juicy broasted pork chops, the entree menu for dinner keeps growing.
“We are looking at adding more dinner entrees and also steaks,” Dale said.
Dizzy’s Pub offers full cocktail service and provides a happy hour Tuesday through Fri day from 3-6 p.m. Al l drinks are $1 off during happy hour. A party room at the back of Dizzy’s Pub offers a great space for parties or meetings, serving up to 50 people.
