ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Any student who was not eligible for regular admission and who has not successfully completed the Summer Developmental Program must attend an accredited institution of higher education other than those under the governance of the Board of Trustees, and must attain a “C” average (2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, as calculated by the admitting institution) in the following 30 transferable semester credit hours to be eligible to transfer to an IHL institution:

• 3 semester hours | College Algebra, Quantitative Reasoning or higher level mathematics • 6 semester hours | English Composition • 6 semester hours | Natural Science • 6 semester hours | Social or Behavioral Sciences • 9 semester hours | Humanities and Fine Arts * Any student who has earned an Associate of Arts (AA) degree from a regionally accredited institution and a 2.0 GPA (as calculated by Delta State) is eligible for admission. In addition, a student who has earned another associate degree (not an AA) in a transferable academic area and a 2.0 GPA (as calculated by Delta State) may be eligible for admission.

Meal plans are priced per semester and are available to both residents and commuters. Students are automatically assigned the All Access plan if a selection has not been made by the first week of class. Commuter students enrolled in six or more hours on the main campus have a $175 commuter meal plan included in their fees.

SCHOLARSHIPS

The Office of Financial Assistance works with you to meet your financial needs. The department can assist you with federal and state financial aid programs, student loans, state scholarships and federal work study. The office is staffed with full-time financial aid counselors, so your questions will not go unanswered.

Delta State recognizes students through its scholarship and award program. A scholarship application is required. Scholarships and awards are available for undergraduate study up to the completion of 140 earned hours; summer terms are excluded. Note that annual renewal conditions must be met to maintain all scholarships and awards. (A limited number of scholarships may be available). Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
