TOP TIP! You can make the exercise more challenging by making the hoop size smaller or making the distance between players larger.

Why not add in a rule to say that ‘if the ball touches the side of the hoop, it does not count’ and no point is given.

An additional or alternative drill is to place three cones in a triangle shapes 3 meters apart, naming them them A, B and C. Jogging from A to B, move into sprinting from B to C moving onto side stepping from C to A with quick little feet.

Place 10 cones in a zig-zag around the goal - 5 cones close to the circle and 5 further away.

Simply aim to shoot a goal from each cone position, working your way around the zig-zag pattern. The ultimate aim is to get 10 in a row.

TOP TIP! Why not make it a little more challenging by adding a time limit.

Use a box or bench (suitable for standing on safely) around 30-40cm high.

Simply jump from the box and land, whilst bending your knees and keeping them in line with your toes.

To make it more difficult, simply do the same thing but land on one leg.

Another way would be to add a ball to the drill.

As soon as you jump and land, throw a high ball up in the air, exploding out of the jump and catching it.

Stand in the centre of the square and jog to one of the external cones, returning to the starting point.

After jogging from the centre to each external cone, repeat the exercise but switch to sprinting and then again, side stepping. Use pivots to change direction and repeat with various cones.
