RURAL LIVING ROOM Rural public space construction based on fungus industry
Academic work Chuxiong,Yunnan Province,China 2016/12 - 2017/01 Group work;Team Leader Collaborator:Yachao WANG,Chen ZHANG Concept100%, Research,Model, Drawing100% Tutor: Yue GUO,yueg@mid-aa.com
The project is located in Chuxiong,Yunnan Province,China, and Chuxiong is known as the hometown of fungus. Rich forest resources provide a good environment for the growth of fungus and mushroom. In recent years, with the increasing demand for truffles and other wild fungi at home and abroad, the value of fungus has also climbed, more and more villagers have been involved in the picking of wild mushrooms, but improper harvesting methods and wrong harvesting seasons, which all cause irreversible damage to wild fungus, resulting in a decrease in the number of fungus. The low industrial chain directly sold after picking does not bring sufficient benefits to the villagers, nor can it highlight the characteristic economy of the wild mushroom. The program seeks to maximize the value of wild mushrooms through construction methods, providing convenience, optimal storage, and reprocessing of production patterns. Most rural areas in Yunnan currently face many challenges, especially in the case of “empty nesters” and “left-behind children”.The study suggests that children's psychological problems are particularly relevant to socio-economic factors. A simple architectural landscape strategy cannot provide a viable solution to this systemic problem. Therefore, the program attempts to provide the village with practical education and a system for planning and designing the village. We are trying to use the existing environmental infrastructure through organization-led education systems to gradually lead this community into an area of economic self-sustaining, social solidarity, well-being and good environment. The fungus storage buildings also serve as a public space for rural communities, and activates existing space that cannot be fully utilized through the injection of activities. The design recognizes that in the existing rural development model, the scarcity of social space and the reduction of social contacts make the entire community culture extremely poor, and such a state is very obvious at the entire city scale and even at the national scale. The design hopes to make better use of development costs through the use of wild mushroom storage facilities and public spaces to achieve better living and living conditions.

The use of trained hounds and sows to find fungus is conductive to the sustainable development of fungus.
Improper Method
Drawback
Fungus Destruction Soil Erosion
Picking by hands easily destroys the roots of the fungu, endangering its survival.
Pluck
The villagers should protect the forest vegetation and pick it according to the breeding rules of the fungus.
Excessive arable land is an unreasonable cultivation, overplanting , which leads to soil erosion and desertification.

SPACE-TIME INTERWEAVING Commercial complex reconstruction plan
Academic work Heping District,Tianjin,China 2016/10 - 2016/12 Individual work Tutor:Xu LAN,lanxu@tcu.edu.cn
The project is located in the center of Tianjin, close to the Fifth Avenue and Binjiang Road. There are countless irregular roads in the Five Avenues. These roads cross each other and divide the entire area into countless irregular two-dimensional blocks. These blocks have been vertically stretched by various development projects to form the current three-dimensional urban space. In such an urban space, the way people move is bound by the ground or the space close to the ground. When moving through urban space, people's behavior is often "zeroed" to this standard plane. The gap between such urban spaces and the social forms that are filled with innumerable uncertainties has become increasingly apparent. Therefore, in this project, I hope to achieve a detachment from the standard plane of the ground, a rich and varied walking space on the three-dimensional level to envelop the urban space, and a proposal to enrich the natural environment. At the same time, I hope that this proposal will provide a possibility to explore the issue of urban space that is more in line with the social form of Shibuya. The status quo of the base consists of an earthquake-resistant monument and an abandoned grassland. In the historical context of the city, a monument and its components are displayed to the public. This monument is like an enclave in the city, but it can cope with sensitive environments and historical relationships. When people approach the monument, his or her memory will be awakened. Its existing crushing environment contrasts sharply with the surrounding modern buildings. Based on its superior geographical location and historical sites, this design has established a series of “engraving and forgetting spaces, which enhances the sense of human memory and allows people to experience the dialectical relationship of space.

TRADITIONAL COMMUNITY Commemorative building to cope with rising sea levels
Academic work Choiseul Province,Solomon Islands 2018/09 - 2018/11 Individual work Tutor: Wenbo NI,xinxin@mid-aa.com
The project is located in the provincial capital Taro, the provincial capital of Choiseul in the Solomon Islands. Taro will also be the first flooded provincial capital under the influence of global warming, and the traditional lifestyle is threatened by sea level. In addition, the local focus on coconut production, but the traditional production and operation methods are not enough to achieve high profits, only using the modern and efficient coconut industry to operate and develop is more likely to improve local social, economic and cultural improvements. The airport located on the Taro brings a large number of tourists to the island. The exotic atmosphere and culture of the city appreals tourists to visit. The focus of this project is how to combine the local life style that is about to disappear with the coconut industry and tourism, reminding people of the perception of global warming and helping local residents continue to survive. Buildings have various meanings for different users. For the aborigines, the aim is to remember the memories of seaside life, and to experience tropical culture for tourists. In retaining the traces of history, considering that the houses rebuilt in the future will cover the existing ar chitectural remains, I hope that in the “Transitional Community, the architectural experience preserves the spatial experience of the architectural remains to evoke memories of this history. By constructing structures of the same height and orientation as the original building, a grid is abstractly divided to reproduce the original building's information and architectural monuments. In this structure, other structures are independently constructed by the residents, forming a spatial experience similar to the architectural ruins. After rebuilding homes, the structures of these transitional communities can still be part of the life and work of the inhabitants, and along with the new buildings, they continue to evolve as part of the history of the base.

Choiseul is a province of Solomon Islands and Taro is the capital of Choiseul. In recent years, as climate warming has intensified, more and more islands have been swallowed up by the sea, and the homes of local residents have been destroyed. People have no choice but to relocate to the inland areas of larger islands. The traditional seaside lifestyle disappeared, and the form of residence coexisting with canoes is dying out. This project provides an idea of an overhead platform to carry the traditional form of residence, while the overhead platform can also withstand the crisis of rising sea water.

HEALING XINGANG Xingang shipyard reconstruction plan
Academic work Binhai District,Tianjin,China 2018/03 - 2018/06 Group work;Team Leader Collaborator:You JIAO Concept100%,Design,Model,Drawing100% Tutor:Tongwei GONG,gentive@126.com
The project is located in Xingang Shipyard in Binhai District. The shipyard has convenient transportation and has made important contributions to the northern shipping of the last century. However, the existing site size can not meet the market demand recently, and has completely stopped production waiting for transformation in 2017. Residents who used to work in the shipbuilding industry and fisheries are engaged in other occupations or have already retired. Therefore, I hope that through my own proposal, I will help local residents pick up the brilliant memories of the shipyard and pass on the "boat culture". On the other hand, ruins on the site that are carrying important historic and societal meanings would disappear when the rebuilding starts. Therefore, the architectural method of preserving history is considered to be extremely fundamental as well. In retaining the traces of history, considering that the buildings reconstructed in the future will cover the existing architectural remains, I hope that in the "old shipyard", the architectural experience will preserve the spatial experience of the architectural remains to evoke memories of this history. By constructing structures of the same height and orientation as the original building, a grid is abstractly divided to reproduce the original building's information and architectural monuments. In this structure, other structures are independently constructed by the residents, forming a spatial experience similar to the architectural ruins. In the past, the center of the community was a shipyard. Everyone would always communicate and discuss in this space. Now there is no public space and no collective memory, and residents are also neglecting to communicate. Therefore, the program is dedicated to the development of a small community with green belts, parks and various leisure facilities to enhance human interaction. In addition, the program also introduces new wisdom to achieve automatic, intelligent and efficient service to people living here.

The Tianjin passenger port on the east side brings a large number of tourists to the base. The large shopping malls and duty-free shops in the base provide visitors with a good place to shop and relax. The 5km vibrant runway and oxygen park also provide visitors with a beautiful natural environment. CONCEPTION OF SMART COMMUNITY
WHERE IS THE KIOSK? The survey of the current condition of kiosks existence and exploration of the individual business pattern based on social need
Academic work; Social research Tianjin,China 2017/04 - 2017/07 Group Work;Team Leader Collaborator:Wenrui JI,Chao TANG,Dongqi WANG Research,Concept,Analysis,Design,Drawing Tutor:Suiping ZENG,176116126@qq.com
In the context of the comprehensive urban rectification policy in Tianjin, the news of the sale of shrouds in the kiosks at the beginning of the year has pushed the survival of the kiosks to the forefront. How does the kiosk operate? How to improve the status quo of the chaos in the kiosk? How to uphold the concept of "region, nation, and characteristics"? They became the original intention of our research. With the advent of the digital age, the sales of paper media have shrunk dramatically.Kiosks, which are mainly sold by newspapers and magazines, have also ushered in huge survival problems. The kiosks that play the role of "the window of urban culture" are gradually disappearing. How should the business model of the kiosk be transformed when the demand for paper media is sharply reduced? Smart building and smart park not only save the resource cost of manpower management, but also save energy and save floor space. And proposed solutions in the three aspects of smart transportation, tourism and business. To achieve green and sustainable development of the park. The vending kiosks and selfparking that can be seen everywhere in the park provide people with a “zero distance” service.

The survey targets are kiosks in different areas such as core areas, residential areas, tourist attractions, education areas, medica and health care, and transportation connections. From the perspective of the social needs of “material, service and spirit”, it is found that the status quo of kiosks has the characteristics of “use two levels + management popularization + culture is not prominent”. The survey was carried out according to the different needs of different groups of people in the kiosks, and proposed a targeted service strategy of “one place, one pavilion”, and established different “thematic newsstands” to stimulate their potential functions and meet the needs of the citizens. At the same time, improve the operation status of the kiosk itself.

LAYOUT PRINCIPLE
At the moment when the demand for paper media has dropped sharply, the kiosk has stopped? or has still operated? Through different surveys, we found that the kiosks have many kinds of questions of "polarization + management popularization + culture is not prominent". We merged the location elements, proposed the strategy of “one place, one pavilion”, and established “convenience service pavilion”, “real-time pavilion”, “education information kiosk” and “urban cultural pavilion”.Meanwhile, based on multiple needs, the new functions of Newsstand were built, including “new breakthroughs, new technologies, new trends, new highlights”, in order to make the kiosks more fully function and play the role of urban furniture.
Urban cultural kiosk
Urban cultural pavilions are distributed in urban landscapes, spreading Tianjin culture.Convenience service kiosks provide service facilities for the residents of the community.Real-time kiosks are located in the office area, which is convenient to get current affairs information. Educational information kiosks are located around middle school to popularize knowledge.

OUTLOOK MAP
It is the first time I came to Tianjin to travel, what surprised me the most was the kiosk. It has small body but sales many kinds of goods. The VR in the city culture pavilion allowed me to experience the charm of local culture and it was very convenient. I am engaged in financial work. Current affairs news has a lot to do with our work. Sometimes I walk through the pavilion to watch the rolling news of current events, which is convenient and fast.
