Student activism has long been a defining feature of university life. Students are often the first to question and challenge social norms and injustices, and in Canberra students have led various different movements for social justice from the 1960s until now.
The Student Activism journal issue and installation explore the histories and futures of student activism in Canberra, showcasing the work of artists, and capturing stories of campaigns, past and current.
With contributions from activists young and old, the journal and installation explore questions of place, belonging, ideology, tactics, specific episodes and characters.
