TT

The original TT

The all new Audi TT

Still unmistakably a TT, the thirdgeneration car has arrived. It’s more aggressive and sporty, with a six-edged grille and a badge mounted to the bonnet, like the Audi R8. The front end is defined by more chiselled looks, a sharp leading edge and narrowed lights.

A design revolution occurred inside the cabin. The 2015 TT will be the first car to make use of Audi’s next-generation MMI (Multi Media Interface). The menu structure and design have completely changed, and the screen itself has moved behind the steering wheel. The changes were made to enable drivers to see all the information they need without having to move their head towards the centre console. The rotary controller and touch pad are now better at recognising inputs, but drivers can control the system using buttons mounted on the steering wheel if they prefer. Climate controls have moved to the jet engine-styled dash vents. Technology has defined Audi’s approach to the TT’s engineering as well. Retuned engines have dropped at least 10g/km of CO2 across the range. The new 2.0 TDI will have class-leading CO2 emissions of just 110g/km, resulting in a BIK rate of just 18%. Combined mileage is 67.2mpg. The performance of this latest generation is even more impressive. Even the entrylevel 2.0-TFSI will move from 30-70mph in just 4.9 seconds, driving 227bhp through the front wheels.

The TT can be specified with four wheel drive, a six-speed manual or automatic, and will come in high-performance TTS and TTRS flavours after the launch. WhatCar? already declared it the best sub£35k coupé on the market – and it’s not even for sale yet. They must be excited.

Audi TTS &

The all new Audi TTS With 306bhp from its 4-cylinder TFSI, the TTS is fast: really, truly fast, hitting 62mph from a standstill in just 4.7 seconds, quicker than a Porsche 911 Carrera or Cayman GTS. Power is fed to the road through a 6-speed manual or 6-speed S-tronic automatic gearbox, which will rev like a race car on downshifts and change gears in a fraction of a second.

Every TTS is fitted with quattro all-wheeldrive to distribute power evenly between all four wheels and improve traction. Even with such rapid performance and high technology, the TTS achieves 39.8mpg combined, making it usable every day.

TTR coming soon

The all new Audi TT Roadster In a way, you already know what to expect from the TT Roadster before it arrives: stunning looks, a joyous driving experience and impeccable quality standards. So it was with the first and second-generation TT Roadsters, and after a glamorous reveal at the Paris Motor Show in October, we now know what to expect from the nextgeneration car.

Naturally, it shares much in common with the TT Coupé. The looks mirror the coupé, and the cabin is unchanged – aside from one very important button that shows off the Roadster’s party trick, dropping the folding fabric roof in 10 seconds to fit snugly in a compartment behind the seats. Engines are shared with the Coupé, Audi promise TTS and TTRS high-performance variants in the future.

Q Q range. Go anywhere. If you were to list the qualities of your ideal car, what would make the list? Comfort, practicality and efficiency are essential, but you might add luxury, style and rugged off-road ability as well. As long as we’re speaking in hypotheticals, mix and match whichever contradictory attributes you like. With equal appeal for busy families or thrillseekers, the Q range provides a combination of practical and reliable SUV design with style and sophistication. Unruffled by off-

road terrain like snow, gravel and mud, an Audi Q provides assured handling even on loose or slippery surfaces. So far, so appealing. Each car in the range – the Q3, Q5 and Q7 – has its own distinct talents and abilities. The Q3 may be compact, but it’s designed to be capable of anything. As a family car it’s perfectlysized with space for four and a convenient boot. Off-road ability makes it even more versatile, and an extensive options list

Range Watch the latest Audi Q3 video – The perfect travel companion.

Did you know... The name ‘Q’ comes from ‘quattro’, Audi’s four-wheel-drive technology. Instead of driving only the front or rear wheels, the system intelligently distributes power to all four to provide better grip under throttle, particularly in poor conditions.

allows you to fully personalise your Q3 into the perfect crossover. The larger Q5 applies the same thorough Audi thinking to the mid-size crossover class, resulting in an outstanding mix of performance and economy, plus luxury features and technology throughout. But it’s the imperious Q7 that tops the range, with seating for seven, a huge range of engine choices and a sporty drive. Naturally, the Q7 is impeccably finished throughout, with the

latest range of technologies available in the cabin. More Q range models are coming in the near future – the next-generation Q7 debuts in September while an updated version of the Q3 arrives in March, and rumours of a rangetopping RSQ5 have surfaced, which will pair spectacular performance with practicality.

Changes the world. Not everyday living. Audi e-tron - What is it? Introducing the latest progressive idea from Audi, the Audi A3 e-tron. This revolutionary plug-in hybrid pairs an electric motor and battery power with a small petrol engine, limiting emissions to a minimum. Plug-in hybrids aren’t new of course — it’s necessary to look at the A3 e-tron as a whole to appreciate its impact. At heart, it’s an A3. So far, so ordinary. But reviewers have showered the latest generation with awards, and by using this proven platform as their starting point, Audi set the stage for an extraordinary hybrid. The eyebrow-raising figures tell most of the story (see left). The A3 e-tron can achieve a staggering 188mpg, and travel 584 miles on a single tank. It can travel up to 80mph on electric power alone, and has an average electric-only range of 31 miles. The e-tron makes a combined 200 horsepower, enough to accelerate from 0-62 in just 7.6 seconds — around the same as a conventional A3. Power is directed from the engine and electric motor through a seamless 6-speed dualclutch automatic transmission. Even the handling is improved: thanks to the battery pack fitted low in the chassis, the A3 e-tron has a better weight distribution than more nose-heavy standard A3s. Reviewers have already lauded it as the sweetest-handling A3 in the range.

S1 Audi S1 completes the quattro range

The first Audi S1 was a World Rally Championship-winning turbocharged fourwheel-drive monster. That famous name is back on something fittingly exciting – the Audi S1 hatchback. Turbocharging and four-wheel-drive are back too, for electrifying performance from Audi’s premium small hatchback. Powered by a new 2.0-litre TFSI engine producing 231PS and 370Nm of torque, the S1 puts power to the road through a six-speed manual gearbox and quattro allwheel-drive. It’s enough power to go from 0-62mph in just 5.8 seconds. Quite a firecracker then. Taking the proven A1 chassis and turning up the performance to 11 wasn’t so simple. To accommodate the advanced new rear suspension and four-wheel-drive system, Audi had to re-engineer most of the rear section of the car. The hard work has paid off in terms of performance and driving engagement. "The Audi S1 offers all the virtues of a sports car, great performance, direct handling and permanent quattro drive that puts the power to the road in a superior way," says Prof. Dr. Hackenberg, Audi Board Member for Technical Development. "The quattro drive has a large following of fans, which is sure to become even larger thanks to the offering in this segment."

It's all in the detail. Click on any of the images to find out more about the S1

Audi A7 New generation of executives Superbly engineered, handsome and brimming with the latest technology, the Audi A7 has always made an exceptional executive coupé. Now the latest Audi A7 has arrived, once again redefining the executive coupé with sleek styling, high technology and a beautifully-appointed interior. The changes are more than skin-deep, but start with a redesigned hexagonal front grille set in a more aggressive front bumper, flanked by now-standard LED headlights. On request, these can be upgraded to Matrix LED headlights that actively look ahead in

turns and intelligently dip to avoid dazzling other road users. Revised exhaust tips slot into a reshaped rear bumper, and inside there are new interior options for greater customisation, plus an upgraded MMI system and touchpad. Audi focused closely on improving the already impressive high-speed refinement to produce a remarkable long-distance driving machine. The A7’s aluminium body reduces fuel consumption and weight for improved performance, and combined with changes to the powertrains on offer, the 2015 Audi A7

A7 is faster, more powerful and more efficient than before. The range begins with a new entry-level engine, the 215bhp 3.0 V6 ultra diesel. Boasting 60.1mpg fuel economy and just 122g/km CO2 emissions, it’s a remarkably powerful and efficient engine. The figures are even more astonishing considering the size of the A7 – yet these running costs are equivalent to some city cars and superminis. Following the updates, every engine in the range produces between 15 and 30 bhp more than before. The mighty 3.0 bi-turbo

TDI is now backed by an 8-speed tiptronic gearbox; the rest of the range retains the advanced 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch gearbox. Both transmissions are smooth and fast-shifting and can be set up according to driver preference. That trait of customisability is in evidence throughout the A7. It’s a car designed to be different, from the fastback styling to the high technology used in every aspect of its construction. If you like driving things differently, you’ll appreciate the Audi A7’s timeless design inside and out.

Audi lights the road ahead Watch the Audi Matrix LED technology in action.

LED lights by Audi For as long as there have been cars, there have been headlights. The very first were gas or oil powered, but by 1920 the basic layout familiar to modern drivers was present on many cars. Technology continued to progress through the 20th century, leading to the halogen lights in widespread use today. Neither time nor technology stand still however, and the latest automotive lighting systems use advanced computers and the

latest LED and laser technology for brighter and more precise illumination than before. Audi leads the field with LED technology, introducing the first LED daytime running lights on the R8 supercar in 2006, and more recently creating the remarkable Matrix LED headlight system. Matrix LED lights provide high-precision illumination, using many individuallycontrolled LEDs to produce light instead of one large bulb. 50 LEDs are arranged

together in one assembly, and can be moved, dimmed or deactivated in milliseconds by an automatic control unit. The result is a bright, homogeneous illumination of the road – until traffic comes the other way. The system detects other road users and dims light that would dazzle other drivers, but continues to shine on the areas between and beside them. And now Audi’s spirit of progress is taking lighting technology a step further. As

demonstrated on the Audi Laserlight concept car, laser-based light systems can be paired with route data from satellite navigation to work predictively, lighting up the turns ahead before the driver turns the steering wheel. Expect to see – but not be dazzled by – Audi’s progressive lighting systems on the road soon.

Driverless cars are taking to the track It might sound futuristic, but the selfdriving car is just around the corner. For years we’ve heard that they’re coming but only with the advancement of mobile and sensor technology has the dream come close to being a reality. Now driverless cars are taking to the streets, where they will fundamentally change the way we operate our vehicles, giving us greater freedom and more control over our experience behind the wheel. If the car even has a steering wheel, that is.

perform far better than human drivers will they gain widespread acceptance and free us from having to drive ourselves at all times.

Audi have been working on their own automated driving technology. Called ‘piloted driving’, it’s the next frontier of automotive evolution. The company has been performing tests for 15 years in test labs, on racetracks, and was the first carmaker to carry out test drives in realworld conditions in Florida and Nevada. Recently Audi sent an autonomous RS7 on a full lap of Hockenheim racetrack with nobody at all behind the wheel.

And what’s more freeing than that?

The toughest challenge is to unite the many technologies driverless cars need to be safe and autonomous. In addition to controlling the vehicle itself, the computers need to be able to see obstacles around the car and react to them in real time while obeying the rules of the road. Only when driverless cars

One thing is certain though: the driverless car doesn’t mean the end of driving enjoyment. Audi’s engineers want to offer a choice: the feeling of freedom and fun that comes from a sporty drive will still be yours to experience and the ability to sit back and let the car do the work. It will be up to you to enjoy the car in your own way.

Piloted driving technology is the latest innovation for the road and the track.

Audi’s Hat Trick at the WhatCar? Awards Audi took three top prizes at the prestigious WhatCar? Magazine awards. The publication only bestows awards on cars that demonstrate the highest standards and the awards are regarded as the benchmark for automotive quality, design and ownership experience. This year, the Audi TT was named Best Coupé, the A3 Cabriolet took Best Convertible, and the all-new A3 e-tron took Best Electric Car a full two days ahead of its official launch. WhatCar? had this to say about the winners:

The TT Coupé

The A3 Cabriolet

The A3 e-tron

“The new TT follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, winning our Coupé of the Year Award at the first time of asking.

“Crowning the Audi A3 Cabriolet champion for the second year running was an easy decision.

“You could argue that the e-tron is a niche prospect; most private buyers are better off with a cheaper diesel or petrol model, certainly.

It exudes class and has a cabin quality you’d expect on softtops twice the price, and this clever new 1.4 engine means it costs even less to run. Factor in the precise steering, strong performance and hushed refinement and the A3 is very hard to fault.

Even so, the e-tron is remarkable for its versatility; you can use it like a regular hatchback, and if you plug it in at night you’ve got a useful amount of low-cost miles to commute with.

Best coupé

It does so by a big margin, because while there are plenty of sleek and slinky-looking offerings in this market, they all demand some form of compromise from you – either in the way they drive, how easy they are to live with or how much they cost to buy and run. All except the TT. In fact, it’s so good, we wouldn’t bet against it winning this award for years to come.”

Best convertible

Great handling and space for four adults and their luggage are the icing on the cake, so for our money the A3 is still the best open-top you can buy.“

Best electric car

It mixes the many merits of the A3 with even more incentive for company car buyers to make electric driving more accessible.”

Halesowen Audi sav Mrs Webb was worried her Audi 90 would be off the road for good, but Halesowen Audi had other ideas… Mrs Webb’s vehicle came to our Service Department on a tow truck leaking fluid from underneath the engine bay. Our technicians investigated, finding that a power steering pipe had leaked. Our Parts team checked the availability of the part needed for a fix, but found it had been discontinued – the car was 23 years old!

Work placement for Whizz Kidz student Halesowen Audi heard Kadeem Johnson who is a wheelchair user registered with Whizz Kidz, had a keen interest in cars, so wanted to give Kadeem an experience he will never forget! Kadeem has spent time with Sales, Service, Workshop and the Parts department to fully understand how each department operates. On the last day of his work placement, Kadeem said: “This week I have saw a change in my confidence and self-esteem by asking lots of questions, I have had the best 5 days and thank you to every single member of staff who has made this experience enjoyable and I do hope to see you again soon”. The team at Halesowen Audi have really enjoyed spending time with Kadeem and glad that he had an enjoyable experience with us.

Service Advisor Andre Crosby explained this to a devastated Mrs Webb, and took it upon himself to try to help find the part. The car was in immaculate condition and had only covered 36,000 on the clock – it was far too good to go to a scrap yard. Andre managed to find a company in Digbeth to make the pipe required, and kept Mrs Webb updated with the progress. She was incredibly happy and couldn’t thank him enough! Mrs Webb was reunited with her vehicle which we delivered to her home address. She was delighted to have the car again, and said that she was overwhelmed by the fantastic service. We’re glad to be of help.

Receive unlimited MOTs when you replace your cam belt with Jardine Motors Audi.

The cam belt is one of the hardest-working parts of your engine and, if it fails, the damage can be costly to repair. Replacing it at the right time is vital to the smooth running of your Audi, so we recommend having this service performed by Jardine Motors Audi experts as soon as it’s due. When you have your cam belt changed by us, as a loyalty reward we’ll also cover your car’s future with a free MOT test every year for life. Here at Jardine Motors Audi, we recommend that this is carried out every 75,000 miles or 5 years, whichever occurs first. Why is it required? As you may know, the cam belt is a rubber component; a toothed belt that is kept at a specific tension, which drives and maintains synchronisation of many major internal components in the engine. For this reason the belt must not go beyond its time or wear guidelines. What will happen if it’s not carried out? The belt could slack, snap or jump – causing severe internal engine damage. This will result in the vehicle breaking down and could cost hundreds of pounds to repair.

What are the benefits? If the cam belt is replaced when recommended, it prevents the tension loss and fracture that would cause engine damage. • Prolongs engine life • Offers peace of mind • Includes an Authorised Audi stamp in the service book • Maintains goodwill warranty • Helps preserve the residual value of your vehicle What’s more, if you sell your Audi, the new owner will still be able to take advantage of this free MOT test offer. Which means the benefits of an Audi cam belt replacement really never end. It’s all part of the Audi Difference. If you’d like to know more about this offer, just speak to your local Aftersales department. We’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Available for privately owned Audi vehicles of any age or model. Offer may be varied or withdrawn at any time. Re-tests will be chargeable. The offer only relates to the MOT test fee and does not include any subsequent part or labour costs required to repair the vehicle in order for it to pass the MOT or for any other reason. Excludes Northern Ireland and Channel Isles. Cannot be redeemed for cash. Free MOT can be redeemed at participating Centres only.

At Jardine Motors Audi you’ll see the difference - with genuine parts, fully Audi-trained technicians and no hidden charges.

Did you know you are still eligible for complimentary MOT Protection?

As a valued Audi owner, you can also benefit from MOT Protection when your vehicle has its MOT test. Pay £49.99 for your MOT and you'll receive complimentary MOT protection for up to £750 against a wide range of repairs, should your Audi fail its MOT. Please note there will be a £10 administration charge should you need to make a claim. What are the benefits? • Peace of mind that you are driving your vehicle legally and safely. • Your vehicle must have a valid MOT certificate before it can be road taxed. Available for vehicles aged over 24 months, up to 10 years from date of registration. Cannot be redeemed for cash. Re-tests will be chargeable. Excludes Northern Ireland and Channel Isles. Can be withdrawn at any time, contact your local Audi centre to find out more. MOT Protection terms and conditions apply.

We’re authorised, affordable and on your doorstep. Call your local centre to find out more - we even offer a Price Match Guarantee.* *Terms and conditions apply.
