RTC Video Solution From Manheim Aftersales Solutions Manheim Aftersales Solutions (MAS), the team behind Real Time Communications software, are pleased to announce the launch of a new health check video offering. Built to seamlessly integrate with the existing health check process, RTC Video Health Checks allow technicians to add video and still images to support work identified to customers quickly and efficiently from one single application. A cost-effective and seamless enhancement to our industry-leading Health Check solution, it offers customers the ability to take advantage of this new technology without the need to purchase a separate software solution or additional hardware.


How Does It Work? (Technicians) • While carrying out the vehicle health check, technicians have the option to record video with the Android app they use to complete the vehicle health check. • The video and any still images will automatically be associated with the area of the vehicle being checked (i.e. front brake pads, rear suspension, etc.). • There are no additional steps for the technician to upload the video.

Android App (Technicians) • A single aftersales app that encompasses clocking, vehicle health check and video. • Ability to record a full walkaround video. • Record videos or still images against individual vehicle health check items. • Capture still images.


How Does It Work? (Advisors) • Whilst pricing the additional Red and Amber work identified, the advisor will see an additional notification to identify where video/still images are available for the repair. • The advisor can then click the icon, where they will then be presented with a preview screen displaying the video and images available for the repair. • A simple check box process against each image/video means that the advisor can select/deselect what is sent through to the customer. • Once a customer has viewed the video/images the advisor receives an alert. • A further alert is presented to the advisor if the customer clicks to authorise the work or requests a telephone call from the dealer.


How Does It Work? (Customers) • Customers will receive an HTML e-mail with a link to the video files and images associated with the work identified. • When the customer clicks on the link, their browser opens a page detailing the work identified with the accompanying images and video files. • All Red and Amber work identified will be fully priced including parts, labour and VAT. • The browser page also displays the full vehicle health check with Red, Amber and Green items clearly identified. • The customer can ‘click to authorise’ the work or ‘request a call back’ to discuss further. • Please visit www.thisismycar.co.uk to view examples of the customer view on both a phone and tablet.


What Hardware Is Required? • Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 or an equivalent tablet running Android Honeycomb 3.1 operating system or higher. • RTC have been supplying Samsung Galaxy devices for health checks since November 2012. • There is no additional server requirement or increase in existing RTC server capacity as the video files are stored centrally by RTC. • Video files are sent over the existing Wi-Fi connection in the workshop for RTC.

What Does It Cost? • There is no need to purchase an additional server or to increase the storage capacity on the RTC server as video and images are held centrally on our dedicated RTC Media Server. • The solution will be provided on a ‘Pay As You Go’ option at a cost of 10 pence per job or inspection, therefore no additional license fee. • The solution will be capped at a cost of £75 per month. • One-off charge of £750 per site to cover configuration and one and a half days on site to test, install, and train your staff. • Existing tablet hardware can be used, where a suitable camera is built in, and the operating system used is Android Honeycomb 3.1 or higher. • Samsung Galaxy Tab 3s, if required, can be purchased from RTC for £225 per unit or leased at £15 per month for 24 months, (including accidental damage cover). • Branded manufacturer web forms will be provided free of charge.
