Hendy Performance expanded at the start of 2021, adding two further dealerships to help bring performance vehicles to even more customers across the South Coast – come and find us at our showrooms in Eastleigh, Poole and Exeter.

Hendy Performance has long been associated with modifications and upgrades and has a nationally renowned reputation for working on Ford models. The latest range of demonstration vehicles – the HP Fleet – has been borne out of a desire to showcase a multitude of upgrades, both mechanically and cosmetically, to suit all budgets. The ST is already an entertaining drive, but the #HP200 and #HP300 Fiestas add between 53 and 150 additional horsepower respectively to make these cars a force to be reckoned with! The #HP400 introduces a taste of things to come on the latest Mk4 Focus ST with subtle power and visual upgrades, while the #HP500 Focus showcases a wider range of engine modifications to produce supercar levels of performance with 530bhp!

At the time of going to print, the Hendy Performance team are in the process of restoring a stunning 1965 Ford Mustang Coupé. This iconic model started life in California, before being imported in an unrestored state from Florida in 2018. Our team of specialists began by completely stripping the vehicle down and giving it a full bare metal respray. They are now rebuilding the vehicle, ensuring that they use as many original, restored parts as possible. While they work hard to maintain the authenticity of the original, instantly recognisable body and period trims, the Performance team are also adding some modern touches. The original audio head unit has been remanufactured to accommodate DAB and Bluetooth connectivity – not only will it look good, it’ll sound good too!

Thruxton Motorsport Centre

Hendy Performance joined forces with Thruxton Motorsport Centre in 2020 as part of an exciting partnership that will allow those taking part in driving experiences to enjoy the very latest Ford technology. We supplied seven brand-new Ford cars to Thruxton, giving drivers the best possible opportunity to sample the handling, speed and capabilities of the Ford Focus ST, Focus ST-Line and the Fiesta ST-Line. The Focus models are also used at race meetings as safety cars, and have become an integral part of all activities at the circuit. The Fiesta models are used on the junior experience courses, which are for budding drivers as young as 12 looking to get a feel of driving before they turn 17.

Tiff Needell

We were delighted last year when former Grand-Prix-driver-turnedtelevision-presenter Tiff Needell became the official ambassador for Hendy Performance. Tiff, who has appeared in a wide range of motoring TV shows, will be involved in a variety of activities for Hendy Performance, including creating thrilling videos to showcase the performance and sports car side of the business as well as personal appearances. He said: “The company has a great heritage when it comes to selling sports cars and performance vehicles, and the combination of the cars it has for sale and experience in the workshops and in supplying a wide range of performance parts is second to none.” You can watch a special video fronted by Tiff on the Hendy Performance website.
