Upcoming Events to close the school year: Sports Day on Tuesday 20th June followed by a BBQ 6th Year Graduation – Tuesday 20th June at 7pm. Refreshments being held in school hall afterwards. Disco’s Senior Disco on Friday 23rd June – 7pm to 8.30pm Junior Disco Saturday 24th June – 3pm to 4pm
Many thanks from the Parent’s Association to our Teacher Reps: Roger Ward and Louise Clarke and for the help and support from the school and you the Parents who attended the meetings and volunteered to help out with events. Without Parent support many events could not take place. We look forward to welcoming new volunteers in the forthcoming school year School Reports / School Book Rental: All reports have been sent out along with details of book rental schemes and school timetable for next year.

A new initiative by the Parents Association: a pop up stationary shop The pop up shop will be open in the school on the 9th July from 12.00pm to 2.00pm The products are half price due to sponsorship by the PA and St Matthews NS. This initiative will save families money. Keep watch on FB for photos of the stock coming in. Date & Opening time July 9th 12 to 2pm.
Recycle Uniform Shop The Uniform sale will take place on the 9th July 12-2 If you have any uniforms that you are no longer using and in good condition please donate toe the school as we will be holding our Uniform recovery Drive in July (exact date to be confirmed). This is a good way to help reduce costs for ‘back to school’. Many donations of school uniforms are in good condition. .It has been great school year for the Children attending St. Matthews’s. Lots of exciting events have been attended. • Halloween Disco in the School Hall - October • Recycle Drive – November – A very successful recycle drive • Hot Chocolate Event at Santa’s Grotto, Ballymahon – December 2016 • Pancake Tuesday event took place in school – February 2017 • St. Patrick’s Day Parade – workshop took place based on the Theme “Year 2067”. Well done to all the participants. • Easter Disco – 7th April & 8th April – Event well attended and enjoyed by all. More Disco’s planned for the forthcoming school year • Communion – 20th May – Refreshments held in the school hall afterwards. Many thanks to everyone who donated food for this event.
