70F Architecture specialises in architecture, urbanism and interior design, with attention given to craftsmanship and careful detailing. Their work mainly consists of private and public housing that embraces a minimalist approach. In 70F Architecture I worked on preliminary design (VO) phase of De Steiger Woon Atelier, a mix use residential-office scheme that adapted circular design and construction methods. I was responsible for design development, 3D modelling, rendering, presentation preparation, documentation and producing graphic content for the website. I also participated in the final design (DO) phase of Villa Van Schaik, a private housing scheme in which I was responsible for preparing detail design drawings, technical drawings, presentations and planning application documents. I took part in client meetings, design consultations and planning permit applications. 2 Professional Work

professional work experience 2020 Amsterdam, The Netherlands

The work of Temp Architecture involves healthcare, housing and urban planning. They specialise in addressing issues related to urban transformation, social integration and public domain by researching sustainable solutions. In Temp Architecture I worked mainly on technical design (TO) and constructionready design (UO) phases of the AMC Health Park project, which included the design of an entrance pavilion for the AMC Hospital. I was responsible for preparing detailed elevations and sections, ceiling plans, grading plans and floor plans of the deck design. I also participated in designing, planning, modelling and drawing the concrete deck and custom made concrete profiles surrounding it. I was responsible for the design and preparation of the manufacturing drawings for the steel railing system as well as the concrete platform, steel plates and concrete tiles to be used on the grandstand stairs of the entrance. 6 Professional Work

Water Machine is a research project that looks into finding contemporary living solutions to a flood risk neighbourhood in Amsterdam. Our designs aim to increase the quality of living by making clever use of rainwater. Interventions are made to the existing residential building at small, medium and large scales to provide options with varying levels of renovation and water use. I took part in the concept development and the graphic representation of the different design options, as well as presentation preparation. 10 Professional Work

Landscape design of community housing

STUDIO PARTINGTON project type year place

professional work experience 2016 London, UK

The work of Studio Partington includes low energy houses, public and community buildings, research and guidance writing. They are specialised in energy efficient housing designs and aim to minimise the environmental impact by contributing to the research field of sustainable architecture. My responsibilities mainly involved the landscape design of a community housing scheme and the design access statement documentation for the Mina Road housing project. In Mina Road I was responsible for doing survey studies, preparing house plans and elevations and setting up graphics and the design access statement to be handed in to the municipality. Moreover, I worked on detail design phase of Hayden’s Road housing project, preparing detail construction drawings. 12 Professional Work

professional work experience 2014 Vardø, Norway

The architecture firm that I worked in is specialised in birds and birdwatching and uses architecture as a tool to protect birds, wildlife and nature. The work mainly involves design and building of birdhides and photohides. They also work on various other types of projects including house refurbishments, destination development studies, exhibitions, workshops, nature trails and outdoor amphitheatres. My work there involved exhibiton curation in which I was doing material research, arranging material delivery and designing exhibition panels. I also participated in the design of a new house extension as well as building a birdhide and a photohide.

LIVING CLOSER project type year place

academic work / research & design 2019 Eindhoven, The Netherlands

The Graduation Project for the master studies consisted of a research study followed by a design to test out the results obtained from the research. As the topic of the studio was the house of tomorrow, my main research topic was cohousing as a solution to urban density, lack of space and social isolation. The study aimed to find methods of incorporating flexible housing design with cohousing design to provide stable and longer lasting communities, with emphasis on collective spaces. The design concept was to have a spatial organization in which a central collective space was surrounded by private apartments. Flexible housing was introduced by providing free spaces that would separate the apartments in each floor. This provided opportunities for future change of apartments as well as different social uses for the community members. Placing them around a core helped establish visual connection with central circulation areas that could look into each other among different levels. Street view 18 Academic Work

WESTON DANCE INSTITUTE project type year place

academic work / design 2015 Weston-super-Mare, UK

The brief of the project was to design a dance school in the neglected seaside town Weston-super-Mare as part of the Weston College, supporting higher education. The school would act both as a cultural venue for locals and tourists, contributing to the cultural revival of the town and also as a source of understanding bodily motion. The idea of the design was to express dance theory concepts of movement, body and space in an architectural form. Circulation spaces of both levels of the building suggest movement both in vertical and horizontal direction with ramps and curved facade forms. The exterior performance area and the auditorium space on the ground level become the core of the building, surrounded by the circulation areas and the other spaces. Dance studios at upper level follow a rotated grid to get best views of the town. Isometric structural detail 24 Academic Work

FILM INSTITUTE project type year place

academic work / group design 2014 Bath, UK

This project was part of the Basil Spence Competition that required all final year architecture students to join as groups with civil engineers. We were asked to design a film institute that involved 3 cinemas, exhibition areas, restaurants and cafes that can be both used for educational purposes and film festivals in Bath. Creating a design that involves both an architectural and an engineering approach in terms of resolving the problems was the aim of the competition. The design was driven by the idea of the site conditions carving the form of the building, resulting in three different volumes with a cinema in each. First volume is a double storey form with the largest cinema, whereas the other two are 5 and 7 storey high towers containing additional spaces. 28 Academic Work
