1. Akacan Holding Office The project was to create a high end interiors for the entry floor of an office which houses the reception, CEO quarters, a meeting room, two managerial offices and an employe office. The building is located in Kyrenia, Cyprus.

2. Siemens Wind Turbine Factory The factory complex is located at the Alexandra Dock, Hull. The design of the factory evolved in line with the design developments of the largest wind turbines in the world that were to be produced in this facility. The complex consists of a blade factory, which is used for creating 75m long blades and a Click Assembly and Service factory, which is used for assembling and servicing wind turbine components.

4. Unilever, Office Expansion Originally constructed in 1929, Unilever House in 100 Victoria Embankment houses the companies Unilever, Royal Mail and Britows. The competition was for Unilever’s future expansion to the 2nd floor of the building. The competition was won and was to be developed further by the PBP+W.

6. New Capital Quay New Capital Quay is a masterplanning project located just to the south of the Thames river, surrounded by it. The project was originally started by the Broadway Malyan Architects and was eventually handed to the BUJ Architects. It is 10 minutes walk from Greenwich Town Centre and the Maritime Museum. The project consists of 980 flats with commercial spaces. There is a Waitrose on site as well as bars, restaurants and a proposed museum.

7. The Heath Hall Heath Hall, or East Weald as it was originally called is a Grade II listed mansion located on the Bishops Avenue, Hampstead, London. It was designed by architects Victor Ashley and F. Winton Newman. It was made in 1910 and was originally owned by the son of sugar giant Tate & Lyle’s Lyle. It was then used as a house for the blind After the World War II, then in 1950, it was sold to the Bank of China and finally in 2001 to our client. The mansion is formed of 15 bedrooms, a panic room, a library, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a gym, a cinema room, a sauna and a steam room and a comercial and a residential kitchens.

1. Convergent Sonics: The Shifting Aural Focus An interactive sound installation designed and aimed at highlighting importance of form and material in altering acoustics and experience of sound in a space. In parallel with that, it draws focus on multi-sensory experience of architecture. The installation is formed of 6 parabolic dishes (sound mirrors) attached to 5 light timber frame structures, that are strategically positioned in order to create different acoustic environments. The first position (figure a) is intended to be a stand-alone experience where while a user is interacting with a sound mirror, their voice is amplified. The second position (figure c) is formed of two mirrors facing each other in order to create a ‘space inside a space’. The close relation of the two dishes create a semi isolated zone for the visitors which make them feel as if they are in a separate environment. This happens due to the sound dispersing properties of the back of the dishes as well as the magnitude of the amplification of their voice as they speak due to two mirrors functioning together, resulting in a disorienting experience. - Education

2. Modular Acoustic Panels The concept given for this module was “innovation in design realisation”. For my project The origami acoustic panels were designed to be modular and can be assembled and disassembled by the user; making it playful and user interactive. The panels were to be constructed by 100% wool felt, totally recyclable. They would be attached to the wall with velcro, which can be used with good quality felt witout any repercussions.

3. Portable Removable Partitions What was expected for this module was to design ‘a game or a puzzle’ with particular focus on using the laser cutting technology. Project above demonstrates a portable removable partition system, fitted into a grid and can be assembled and disassembled by two people easily. The idea was to create an affordable solution for companies to form their own office spaces according to their needs. To portray the way these panels work, an office space was designed (for Coca Cola Enterprises) that would exclusively use these panels. The grid system for the panels would be inserted in between raised flooring and suspended ceiling systems.

4. Textile Museum The project is a textile museum located in Lille, France. The site was located right next to the Wazemmes Market and the Gambetto underground station in a working class residential area. The site at the time was occupied with an abandonned supermarket. There is a permanent, a temporary exhibition space, a textile production museum, a cafe, a gift shop, 6 small and 8 large workshops, a lecture theatre, 4 seminar rooms, administration area, a library and a textile archive. The inspiration for this project came from the old pentagonal citadel with a fortress built by the French when they occupied Lille in 1667. Upon arrival to the building designed, people enter a courtyard which both serves as a meeting point and also a relaxing stop for people to rest and spend time at. There is also a cafe available both for the museum visitors and the outside. - Education
