Literature and Field Research
Dergano is one of the neighborhood in Milan, Italy. The area was an industrial disctrict in mid-twentieth century however, the neigborhood transformed in to residencial area where Italians and immigrants live together.
Dergano is a multicultural neighborhood. In our research, we found there is no direct integration between the people who has different ethnicities in Dergano. Moreover, the knowledge exchange is limited in family scale where young generations inherent less and less knowledge about their origin cultures. After transformation to residential area, Dergano became less visible and important in Milan. Creating a new identity is vital for this neighborhood.
Interviews
We made interview sessions with citizens of Dergano to understand their context. While interviewing them, we saw some possible problems and opportunities.

Outcomes
The inclusivitiy of different ethnicities and cultures is key to create a sustainable system.
Building bridges between younger and older generations is beneficial
“Their is no place for teens like us to hang out or do interesting activities”
Lack of multifuctional spaces around Dergano makes young generation to spend less time in Dergano.

We chose a landing space in Dergano to create physical encounter in to make citizens experience our services at best.

The landing space is abandon space between high schools, middle schools and 2 metro station which makes it accessible by everyone.
Giving younger citizens responsibility to organize cultural activities is significant.
In Dergano, The most populated cultures are;

Her best friend in class is an Italian girl named “Valentina.” She is very outgoing and would like to interact and teach people who is younger than her.

To connect different people living in Dergano, we propose ARCUS. It visions an inclusive and dynamic neighborhood where different cultures are appreciated and preserved, where the youth's vitality is joint with other generation's knowledge through social interactions.
The system is inspired by the architectural structures of arches which connect different parts to create a strong construction.

Tree diffrent activities are provided which are mainly related cultural interactions.
The landing space is provided to do activities as open space which is managed by ARCUS
Digital platform is provided to create connection between people and activities as well as archives.

ARCUS Management System
ARCUS is managed by 4 teams.
Promotion Team is responsible for administrative and commercial aspects which are paid employees.
Language, Narration, and Expression Teams are includes young citizens between 14-18 years old who are called ambassador and older citizens who are called mentors. Each activity is organized by related team. Mentors help ambassadors with their wisdoms. Ambassadors and mentors are volunteers who live in Dergano.
Relationships between Arcus and different stakeholders can be identified in the service system map. It includes both internal structure, starting from the landing point- ArQ, and external collaboration which extends from community to a city scale of Milan.

Promotion Team Services
Promotion Team provides accebility for ARCUS. They create commercial posters for the neighborhood to gain attention of prospective participants.
They place signages on strategic points in Dergano to direct people to ARCUS
They upgrade the digital archives of ARCUS. The sources of the archives come from the activity outcomes.

Hang a Lang Activity and Language Team
Language Team organizes the Hang-a-Lang activity* which is oriented around cultural integration by learning different languages, especially through idioms.
The similarities between idioms of different languages contribute to the engagement of people.
During the workshop, participants can pick up an idiom/ a word as a topic to talk about. They share their thoughts on the topic reflecting their own culture.
The outcome of the session is to come up with a new idiom and display it on the wall of idioms as well as archived on ARCUS web page.

Storytangling Activity and Narration Team
Narration Team organizes Storytangling activity* which brings young generation and elderly people together.
During workshop, tellers share diverse stories about either their culture or the neighborhood.
Younger participants listen to them and at the end of session they create their stories based on told ones but from their own perpectives.
The outcome of the session is new stories which is archived on ARCUS web page

Macramesh Activity and Expression Team
Expression Team organizes Macramesh activity*. It is a cultural pattern and craft workshop in order to express cultural values through patterns and colors. Because patterns are elements that transmit messages that belong to cultures and history.
During workshop, patterns from different cultures are used as trigger of curiosity among young participants.After that, they apply these patterns on to recycled construction meshes with the help of artists who assist the workshop. Later, these meshes are placed in the construction sites or specific spots to highlight in the neighborhood.

ARCUS provides an open space in neighborhood with collaboration of citizen of Dergano. It also create a new identity for Dergano with its cultural patterns and idioms.

The website of Arcus is an archive for outcomes of three activities so that people can always access to diverse cultural elements. Besides that, it is also a tool for events’ information and sharing among residents in neighborhood.
The event section has the list of information about date time and location of an event.

Auditory processing disorder (APD) is a neurological hearing problem that affects about 5% of school-aged children.Kids with APD do not have organic (mechanic) problems in their hearing systems.
In the therapy products market there is no specific solution to demands of the kids to facilitate their therapy.
40% of kids with APD comes with sensory integration .
Voxee has B2B business model where the customers purchase Voxee from different stores. However, customer service is supported by Voxee itself.

Voxnote is a note repeating game to facilitate children therapy focusing on sound pitch level differences
Expected developments are analysing of different pitch of notes, and differentiate frequencies of sound,shot-time memory and gross motor sklls.

Voxtory is a story telling game to facilitate children therapy focusing on main sound and background noise
Expected developments are focusing on a specfic sound in background noise and create meaningful relations in a text.
Voxlocate is a sound location game that helps developing locating sound sources in real life.
Expected developments are understanding end location of sound source and fine motor skills.
Voxwap is therapy game with compound words to help children to understand such words.

Interfaces
Each week has different games and different levels according to development of the children. Parents can learn easly how to play games and what are the gains from specific games. There is a Analysis section which shows the process of the children. Game data analysis supports to observe succes and fails. With this data, doctor can suggest further exercises to children.
Voxee has a smart phone application called VOXEE APP that helps parents to update Voxee weekly, to contact with their doctor, to get further info about APD and to communicate with other parents who have APD children.
