We have created this Pre-Selection Guide to give you an idea of what to expect at your Colour Consultation and enable you to select some of your items prior to your appointment.

What to expect at your Consultation?

During your Colour Consultation you will be required to make final decisions regarding the External and Internal colours and finishes to your home as well as your Electrical sections.

Tips to help you prepare:

Throughout the colour process, your Colour and Electrical Consultants will be there to guide you and offer suggestions, however, it is essential that you come into your appointments prepared.

To be as prepared as possible, we recommend visiting our display homes, supplier showrooms (where possible) or alternatively, their websites. Details regarding our suppliers can be found throughout this guide and on the last page of this guide.

Instagram and Pinterest are also great resources. You can explore various interior design trends simply by searching via hashtags, following our accounts on Instagram and Pinterest (#DennisFamilyHomes) or checking out our supplier pages to see their products showcased in real homes. This sort of research will also assist your Colour Consultant in determining the style you are wanting to achieve in your new home.

Brick Suppliers

Our bricks are supplied by PGH and Austral Bricks.

While we do have a range of brick samples on display at our Showroom, PGH and Austral will generally have larger samples and a bigger range than what is available in our Showroom. For this reason, we recommend you visit the brickyards at PGH and Austral prior to your Colour Appointment to assist you in selecting your bricks.

This visit will provide you with a better understanding of the variance in colour and/or texture of the bricks which can occur during the manufacturing process. PGH and Austral also have brick walls on display, where you can view the bricks you are interested in with mortar. This will really help to give you a better idea of how the bricks will look if selected for your brand new home.

We recommend contacting PGH or Austral Bricks to confirm their opening hours prior to visiting. Please ensure you bring this booklet with you on your visit so you can record your preferences.

If you are unable to visit the brick yards, we recommend that you utilise the Visualiser tools that both suppliers have on their websites (see links below). This will provide you with an understanding of how the bricks may look on your home. Please be advised that the variance in colour and/or texture of the bricks which can occur during the manufacturing process will not be detailed on the Visualisers. During your Colour Appointment, you will be able to refer to the samples in our Showroom for a better idea.

Brick Joints Selection

Mortar is the sand and cement mixture that is used in between your bricks and it can be finished in a few different ways.

The standard finish for Aspirations is a Rolled Finish in a Natural Colour. All other finishes and colours are considered an upgrade. These can be viewed below:

Roof Tile Selection

When it comes to roof tiles, you will need to select a profile and a colour. The profile refers to the shape of the tile, while the colour simply refers to the colour of the tile.

STANDARD

As standard, we use the Bristile Designer Colour on Concrete roof tile range. This range is sleek, minimalist and quietly undulating, our Designer profile works well in contemporary house designs. Available in 11 colours.

Please speak with your Colour Consultant for the latest range of options.

UPGRADE

Upgrade options are also available and can be discussed during vour Colour Appointment. These upgrade options include a variety of Concrete roof tile designs including Artisan, Classic, Prestige, Eton and Premiere from our supplier Bristile.

We use Corinthian Doors for all External Door Selections.

Your standard Front Entry Door is a Designer Corinthian Slimlite front entry door. There are many Front Door upgrades available from Corinthian Doors.

We use Hume Doors for all Internal Door Selections. Your standard Internal Door is a Flush Panel Door. There are many Internal Door upgrades available from Hume Doors.

Paint Selection

We pay careful attention when helping you select beautiful finishes for your home. Listed below are the interior finishes we include at no extra cost.

Choice of paint colours from DFH Series 1 with one colour to ceiling, one colour to walls and one colour to woodwork.

Two coat paint system with walls painted in low sheen and ceilings painted in premium acrylic flat paint.

Internal woodwork and doors painted in gloss enamel finish.

Caesarstone® Upgrade

As standard, Aspirations Homes include Laminate Benchtops to the Kitchen and Bathrooms. However, Caesarstone benchtops are a popular upgrade option, especially to the Kitchen. Please speak with your Colour Consultant for colours available.

If you are considering upgrading your benchtop/s to Caesarstone, we recommend that you visit the Caesarstone Showroom prior to your Colour Appointment to assist you in selecting your benchtop/s. The Caesarstone Showroom has large scale samples available to view. This will provide you with a better understanding of the colour and pattern in each stone colour and the range of Caesarstone Mineral Crystalline Silica Free.
