PORSCHE CAYENNE TUNING BY HAMANN For the Porsche Cayenne, HAMANN has developed a complete body kit, including a new front spoiler with LED daytime running lights, the carbon fibre bonnet with integrated air intakes, side skirts, and roof spoiler. Attachment parts were thought out down to the tiniest detail and even comprise trims in visible carbon fibre or checkered flag for tailgate handle and exterior mirrors.
Matching the front, there is a threepart rear skirt including exhaust tuning suitable for a stainless-steel sports exhaust system with four tailpipes that is provided for all petrol, turbo and diesel models. HAMANN offers maximum Porsche Cayenne refinement for the Guardian and Guardian Evo versions. HAMANN’s design makes the super sports SUV grow in width considerably and give it an individual style. For the two turbo-diesel versions of the Porsche Cayenne HAMANN offers ample power advancement. With the additional control module, the power of the 3.2 V6 is pushed from 245 to 290 hp at a torque of 650 Nm. Thanks to chip tuning the 4.2 V8’s output is brought from 382 to 450 hp, the torque is slightly below fantastic 1 000 Nm. To increase the Cayenne performance HAMANN has added a lowering module to its programme. Models with air suspension come down by up to 35 mm at both the front and rear axle. This way, the centre of gravity is lowered considerably to enhance the driving characteristics. Optically, the Cayenne appears far more dynamically, as it is less long legged.

OVERVIEW Ludicrous in every way and utterly fascinating in every gorgeous detail, this is a 720-hp, mid-engined, million-dollar supercar for those who have grown bored with mere Ferraris and Lamborghinis and already have two Bugattis. Somewhat obscure, and very low production, it’s a hard-core machine for discriminating connoisseurs with sufficient liquidity. Brilliantly quick, tenacious on any surface, and almost freakishly aggressive, it’s a car that beautifully warps the minds of the world’s youth.
BRAIDING BEAUTY AND FUNCTION The roadster project started in 2010 but was scrapped and begun anew in 2013 around a simple theme: la bellezza, or beauty. Every element was redesigned to optimize aerodynamics, including a new front end with a fresh intake and splitter setup, a different rear diffuser, wider wheel arches, and, of course, a new door and roof layout. The roadster retains the coupe’s movable aerodynamic elements, including two flaps up front and two at the rear that work to maintain downforce. All panels are molded in carbon fiber. 62
One of the main goals was to make this car lighter than the coupe, and with a claimed final dry weight of 2822 pounds, the roadster takes the crown by 176 pounds. The central tub is constructed from a combination of two carbon-fiber weaves that Pagani calls carbo-titanium and carbo-triax HP52. The front and rear substructures are made from steel tubing. Along with making the car lighter, the roadster is said to be 52 percent stiffer, which is a surprising change in the conversion to a convertible. The open-air experience is enabled by two removable roof arrangements. One is a carbon-fiber lid with a large glass panel that provides a coupelike appearance when installed. The other is a carbon-fiber framework covered with fabric that can be stored in the car for use in inclement weather.
STILL AMG The Mercedes-AMG M158 twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V-12 was designed and built specifically for Pagani. During development of the BC, Pagani massaged the engine to 754 horsepower at 6200 rpm and 737 lb-ft of torque at 2400 rpm, and that output applies here. The roadster also carries on the BC’s seven-speed automated manual transaxle built by motorsports supplier Xtrac. It differs from most longitudinal mid-engine transaxles in that its guts are turned 90 degrees to reduce the polar moment of inertia and improve handling. An Automac Engineering–tuned ECU pairs with hydraulic and electronic actuators and carbon synchros for smooth shifting. The electronically controlled limited-slip differential was co-developed with Bosch. Overall, Pagani claims the gearbox is 40 percent lighter than the previous unit used in first-generation Huayras. Brembo contributed its newest and best braking components. 63

The Koenigsegg Agera is a mid-engined sports car produced by Swedish car manufacturer Koenigsegg from March 2011 until 2017. It is a successor to the Koenigsegg CCX/CCXR. The name comes from the Swedish verb ‘agera’ which means “to act” or in imperative form “(You) act!”. It was named Hypercar of the Year in 2010 by Top Gear Magazine. As of November 2017 the Agera RS model is the world’s-fastest production car, with a GPS-verified two-way average top speed of 277.9 mph and a fastest straight-line speed of 284.55 mph.
The Agera has a body made from impregnated carbon fibre/kevlar with lightweight reinforcements. The car’s hardtop roof is stowable under the front hood lid. The chassis is also made out of carbon fibre with an aluminum honeycomb structure that comes with integrated fuel tanks for optimal weight distribution and safety. The rear wing is electronically adjustable with auto setting or manual control in order to have as little compromise as possible between low drag and downforce, depending on situation and mood. 82
