Tuesday January 31 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM Winter Sown: Raising Native Wildflowers The Easy Way The winter sown method is the easiest way I have found to raise perennials and native plants. Join us for an easy tutorial for the “set it and forget it” seed starting method. Bring at least two empty two liter cola bottles, milk jugs (clear only), or large juice containers. This will be a hands on planting native seeds class. FREE!!! Register by January 25th. Soil and seeds provided.

Join us for a for a look into making a habitat for Mason/Orchard bees our native non aggressive pollinators. Before the European Honeybees arrived in North America these bees did the majority of our spring pollinating. With the honeybee problems these friendly bees are more important than ever. Tuesday March 7th at 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM Maw Maw’s Flower Garden I started gardening when I was about 10 years old with my grandmother “MawMaw” and she taught me early on about all the flowers that she loved! The back bone of her garden consisted of hardy annuals that she either saved seeds from or simply waited for them to return on their own. Join us for a look at the plants that started me off in Horticulture and a glimpse at what a great grandmother I have. Though she might not remember how to garden I know she would have loved this class! Each participant will receive several packets of seed so they can have a sample of Maw Maw’s flower garden.
