518-585-2696 www.ticonderogamuseum.org The Ticonderoga Heritage Museum, the former time office for International Paper Co., explains the industrial history of Ticonderoga and the LaChute River. Featured are exhibits, paper making demonstrations, and scale models of many of the industries that operated along the LaChute. This season includes a new exhibit on water power that relates how water has impacted Ticonderoga and the surrounding area. The Museum also serves as a Visitor Center for the area and features an Adirondack Gift Shop. Admission and all programs are free. The summer’s FREE Children’s Workshop series ties in with the 400th anniversary of Samuel De Champlain’s exploration of Lake Champlain and is titled “A Champlain Summer”. All 12 workshops involve crafts done by children in the 17th century. The workshops are held every Wed. and Fri. from 9-10:15 at the Museum.
