Barn sale to benefit family mission to Costa Rica By Andy Flynn andy@denpubs.com BAKERS MILLS — A family here will be holding a barn sale this weekend to raise money for a mission trip to Costa Rica. Rob and Trena Riedinger need to collect enough money for their family — including five children ages 10 to 15 — to travel to Costa Rica next summer as
part of the e3 Legacy program. “Being that there are seven of us, this is a big deal, but certainly not too big for God,” Trena said. “e3 stands for evangelizing (telling others what God has done in our lives), equipping and establishing churches.” The Riedingers are planning their trip for July 19-28, 2013. According to the e3 Legacy program, family mission trips are designed to provide an effective means for parents to build a mission mindset in the hearts

Chain Lakes Road in the town of Indian Lake around noon for a report of a missing rafter. New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) personnel and members of the Hamilton County Sheriff ’s Department, Indian Lake Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Indian Lake Volunteer Fire Department also responded to help with the investigation. The investigation revealed that
Rory F. Fay, 37, of North Creek, was operating a raft on the Indian River as a New York state licensed guide, employed by the Hudson River Rafting Company. Fay had two passengers in the raft with him: Richard J. Clar, 53, and Tamara F. Blake, 53, both of Columbus, Ohio. Around 10:20 a.m. on the Indian River, Fay and Blake were ejected from the raft in whitewater conditions. Clar was able to stay within
the raft and eventually steer it to the shoreline. Fay was able to swim to the shoreline. Clar and Fay walked to Chain Lakes Road where they were able to obtain assistance. Blake was unable to be located and authorities were notified. New York State Police Aviation was used to search the river, and Blake’s body was discovered about 5 miles downstream in the Hudson River. CONTINUED ON PAGE 13
