SilverSneakers® Classic An introductory senior-fitness workout designed to improve muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, and mobility. Les Mills GRIT™ North Lakes Rec Center 30-Minute High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workouts designed to improve strength, increase cardiovascular fitness, and build lean muscle. These workouts utilize barbells, weight plates, step platforms, and plyometric, speed, and agility body weight exercises to blast all major muscle groups.

Couch to 5K Running Program North Lakes Rec Center Always wanted to be a runner? Here is your starting place. This non-instructional running group is great for those with a beginner fitness level. Train for your first 5K in an open, accepting social environment. Group meets rain or shine.

Aimee Tilley Fuerte I’ve been teaching for 8 years. I teach BODYPUMP and BODYATTACK and love to inspire others to feel joy through music and movement. I love to encourage and motivate others to move their bodies and feel the pure joy and freedom that I feel when I teach! Daisha Lopez I’ve been teaching for 13 years. I currently teach BODYPUMP and Power Ride. I love exercising with other people to motivate each other. The Denton fitness community makes it fun and feels like a family!

Jennie Williams I’ve been teaching Les Mills Core since July 2022. I became an instructor Because I love to teach and motivate people. I love teaching at North Lakes Rec Center people are amazing & friendly.

Desiree Fuerte I have been teaching for 7 years. I currently teach BODYPUMP and BODYATTACK. I became a fitness instructor because I truly enjoy watching others take on their fitness journey and the magic that comes with commitment.

Courtney Croy I’ve been teaching BODYBALANCE for nine years. I was never inspired to workout until trying classes at North Lakes. Since then I have been inspired and wanted to help others find that joy and desire to stay fit! Sam Taylor I have been an instructor for 12 years. I currently teach Zumba at Denia Rec Center. I became an instructor because have always been a dancer in one form or another – It’s my happy place.

Carolyn Williams I’ve been teaching Zumba for 10 years. I became a Zumba instructor because I loved this type of workout so much, between the music, the dancing mixed with exercise, and the social aspect is a big part of it for me!

Kelly Towey I’ve been teaching for 8 beautiful years. I love the fitness connection I make with all the participants. I currently teach a variety of classes including BODYPUMP and Core.

GYM REFRESH

A 30-minute refresher for exercisers who are somewhat familiar with fitness equipment. Staff will show you the basic operation of the cardio equipment machines and selectorized weight machines. To schedule an appointment, stop by any front desk.

FITNESS ASSESSMENT

During this 60-minute assessment a trainer will gauge your current fitness level and set benchmark “before” body measurements to compare against future body measurements as you progress toward your fitness goals. To schedule an appointment, stop by North Lakes front desk.

PERSONAL TRAINING

Personal Training packages are available for fitness members, any fitness level, and consists of half-hour or one-hour sessions that meet one, two, or three days per week based on fitness goals and motivational levels.
