FAMILY LAW DePaul’s family law curriculum focuses on issues in both the public and private sectors. Coursework and practical training is available for a variety of topics, including child advocacy, juvenile justice, adolescent health and welfare, partnership, marriage and divorce, domestic violence, disability, and elder law.
FAMILY LAW CERTIFICATE: Family Law
To earn a certificate in family law, you must complete the 86 credits required for the JD degree. Within the required coursework, you must complete at least 15 credit hours from the approved course list and earn a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the certificate courses. If you take more than 15 hours from the approved list, all grades earned in those courses will be factored into the GPA requirement for the certificate.
