DePaul’s health law program consistently ranks among the nation’s best. The health law curriculum encompasses theoretical and practical courses identified by attorneys as essentials in the field, and it covers all major areas of health law practice, including social, ethical, corporate, regulatory and policy issues.
To earn a certificate in either health law or health care compliance, you must complete the 86 credits required for the JD degree. Within the required coursework, you must complete at least 15 credit hours from the approved course list and earn a minimum GPA of 3.2 in the health law certificate courses or 3.0 in the health care compliance certificate courses. If you take more than 15 hours from the approved list, all grades earned in those courses will be factored into the GPA requirement for the certificate.
