

FAMILY LAW
DePaul’s family law curriculum is designed to address a broad spectrum of issues spanning both the public and private sectors. Students engage in coursework and hands-on training covering an array of topics, such as child advocacy, juvenile justice, partnership, marriage and divorce, domestic violence, disability and elder law. This comprehensive approach ensures that students graduate with a well-rounded understanding and the practical skills necessary to navigate the complexities of family law in diverse contexts.
FAMILY LAW

CERTIFICATE: Family Law
To earn a certificate in family law, you must complete the 86 credits required for the JD degree. Within the required coursework, you must complete at least 15 credit hours from the approved course list and earn a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the certificate courses. If you take more than 15 hours from the approved list, all grades earned in those courses will be factored into the GPA requirement for the certificate.
