BUSINESS LAW & TAX LAW DePaul’s business law curriculum teaches the key legal principles and skills that lawyers use when advising businesses of all sizes—on both transactional and litigation matters. DePaul’s tax law courses range from introductory to advanced courses on personal, corporate and partnership taxation, among other topics.
BUSINESS LAW & TAX LAW CERTIFICATES: Business Law or Tax Law
To earn a certificate in either business law or tax law, you must complete the 86 credits required for the JD degree. Within the required coursework, you must complete at least 15 credit hours from the approved course list and earn a minimum GPA of 3.20 in the certificate courses. If you take more than 15 hours from the approved list, all grades earned in those courses will be factored into the GPA requirement for the certificate.
