INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LAW & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DePaul’s intellectual property law & information technology (IP/IT) program consistently ranks among the nation’s best and provides outstanding career development and counseling, as well as numerous experiential learning and extracurricular opportunities. Led by renowned scholars and faculty experts, it offers a unique interdisciplinary and cutting-edge curriculum covering an extensive range of patent, copyright, trademark and information technology issues, as well as specialty areas like Internet law, data protection law, and art and museum law.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LAW & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CERTIFICATES: Arts & Museum Law; Information Technology, Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Law; General Intellectual Property Law; or Patent Law To earn a certificate in one of these areas, you must complete the 86 credits required for the JD degree. Within the required coursework, you must complete at least 15 credit hours from the approved course list and earn a minimum GPA of 3.20 in the certificate courses. If you take more than 15 hours from the approved list, all grades earned in those courses will be factored into the GPA requirement for the certificate. You may apply for only one certificate.
