About the course If you're keen on a career in general management, this course will give you the perfect start. You'll learn the theories of management and apply them to real situations, preparing you for a career in a dynamic business environment. You'll have the knowledge and skills you need for a management role in industry or commerce and depending on the pathway you choose, you can specialise in people management, marketing, enterprise or information systems.
How you’ll learn You'll learn through a mixture of lectures, tutorials and seminars and be assessed through a combination of coursework, presentations and examinations. This course also offers you the opportunity to take a formal sandwich year plus individual work placement modules.
Your career You'll have a great basis for a wide range of careers in business and management. Your first role will probably be at junior management level, from which you can develop your career through progression and professional accreditation in your chosen field. Additional information With joint honours, you can study for an honours degree in two or even three subjects. You can study Business Management as either a major, joint or minor pathway. Throughout the course you will be able to apply what you learn to your workplace which means that your studying will have an immediate beneficial impact on your organisation. You can base your assignments on work-based projects which have real value to you and your organisation.
