Why choose this course? This degree is one of the only few business courses in the UK that is accredited by the Institute of Consulting (IOC) for a dual award. It also received over 90% satisfaction rate in the recent National Student Survey. Graduates have increasingly secured positions in local SMEs and large global organisations.
Your career You'll have a great start to your business career as you'll have an understanding of all the business disciplines. Our business graduates have gone on to work in many areas, including sales, operations, HR, marketing and accounts. These positions have been in organically grown companies small to medium, that form a key part of the local and wider economy, leading to big companies such as Shell and IBM. Many of our students who've done a placement year have been employed by their placement company when they've graduated and others have set up their own enterprises.

You'll begin by studying a first stage that introduces you to the key disciplines of business. The second stage sees the development of this knowledge through core and optional modules. On completion of the second stage you have the option of going on a placement year or continuing to the final stage. The final stage offers real flexibility as you can choose option modules. You'll now have an opportunity to pick areas that really interest you and which will help you depending on where you see your career developing.

This course is accredited by the Institute of Consulting (IOC) for a Dual Award.
