Information Technology BSc (Hons)

As an information technology graduate you’ll find career opportunities in virtually any area of computing and information technology. You could become a systems architect, IT director, help-desk supervisor, systems engineer, or a network technician. Alternatively you could start your own business developing and managing your own IT products and services.

Throughout the course you’ll gain the knowledge and develop the skills that the industry are looking for. You’ll study in our state-of-the-art facilities, including our dedicated computing labs. You’ll also spend a year in industry on placement, working alongside industry professionals, enhancing your career prospects and giving you a distinct advantage in the job market.

This course is taught by experienced information technology specialists and exindustry professionals who continue to maintain active links to the industry. We work closely with the SAS Academic Alliance and teach with their software on this programme. You’ll also study a common year which is shared amongst all our technical degrees to ensure students possess the foundational knowledge needed to complete their studies.

What you’ll cover Throughout the course you’ll develop a sound knowledge and expertise in the design of IT products and management of IT provision starting with small projects in your first year and moving to more substantial projects as you progress.
