Case Study Samuel Joseph Ado Samuel came to the University of Derby as a mature student from Nigeria to study MSc Conservation Biology. He found the courses offered were relevant to his profession at home and liked the fact that tuition fees were lower than other Universities. “The lecturers here are friendly, resourceful, supportive, approachable and always keen to pass on their knowledge and skills to students. Members of staff in the library are wonderful people. They are helpful and ever ready to assist any student. Another department of the University worthy of mention is the International Student Centre, all the staff always make you feel at home and they are continuously ready to go the extra length to help all students who have any queries. Their services and the other services in other areas of the University including Student Wellbeing and the Student Employment Agency I believe are invaluable and relevant to the growth and development of the University.” Completing the Conservation Biology course has left Samuel better equipped and informed, enabling him to assist younger generations in a range of areas such as computing, analytical methods, conservation of habitats and species of all kinds when teaching back home. “I will recommend the University of Derby to as many as are ready to learn and reach a better height for their personal growth and the world in general.”
“I will therefore, recommend the University of Derby to as many as are ready to learn and reach a better height for their personal growth and the world in general.”
