Case Study Ha Thi Do Ha came to Derby to study Commercial Law (LLM) from Vietnam. “I chose Derby to study Law LLM because the flexibility and innovation of the academic modules provided by the University made the course engaging. Derby is also the safest city in the East Midlands with a lovely countryside as well as been a thriving city with its fame of environment and culture.” She found the lectures and tutorials engaging, interesting and informative, taught in a “highly supportive learning environment” with modern professional teaching methods. The support given by the staff in then International Student Centre (ISC) helped Ha settle into living in the UK and Derby.
