Additional information You will be based at Markeaton Street, where you will use the latest software including SketchUp, ArchiCAD, Revit Architecture, Adobe Photoshop, 3ds Max Design, Ecotest and IES. You can gain valuable industry experience on an optional work placement between stages two and three. You will also gain an additional qualification, the Diploma in Professional Practice. Every year we stage our graduate Degree Show. This exhibition will allow you to showcase your achievements as well as making vital industry contacts, and it’s a really high profile event in the city’s calendar. Graduates also exhibit in local and national shows such as at Quad in Derby and Free Range in London. If you don’t have the appropriate qualifications to start this course, you can apply to study our Year Zero programme.

About the course This course covers a wide range of venue designs that offer exciting areas of study, ranging from interior architectural design of bars, restaurants, night clubs and multipurpose venue spaces, to the design of hotels and resorts. You will look at the planning and design of live performance spaces, social and community places, theme and amusement parks, sports architecture, film and stage architecture, exhibition spaces, galleries, brand retail and museums to name a few.
