BA (Hons) Events Management Where you will study: Buxton Campus UCAS: N820 Entry requirements: 260 UCAS tariff points, of which at least 160 will be from your core A2s (full A levels), BTEC Diploma, IB Duration and mode of study: Full time: three-four years (including an optional placement year), part time: foursix years. If you already have an HND or foundation degree, you can apply for the final year of this course to top up to an honours degree. Why choose this course? ▪ You will study within a real event venue. ▪ You will get all the academic and practical skills you'll need to progress in the exciting and vibrant events industry. ▪ In comparison to other Events courses we are able to see all our students on a daily basis and pride ourselves on treating students as individuals.

How you’ll learn You'll be taught by a combination of lectures with academics who have event experience, seminars, small group activities, case studies and discussions in addition to audio-visual material and guest speakers from related industries. You will also be able to use your skills to organise your own professional events with our own company - Dome Events, gaining the professional experience that employers want.

Your career The events industry is expanding rapidly and there are a wide range of opportunities so you will have good employment prospects in the UK and internationally when you graduate. When you have successfully completed this course, you will have opportunities to apply for careers in a wide range of sectors including, conferencing and events, corporate hospitality and exhibitions.

About the course This course is unique in Events Management because not only do you study in a real events venue; you'll get to run the events too. We are the only university in the UK to have won the Excellence in Training Category of the National Outdoor Events Association Awards, so you know you'll get a great start to your career.
