About the course The mathematical element of the course develops knowledge sequentially. In your final year you will work on an individual project with a member of staff to give you an insight into the world of mathematical research. The education element provides you with both an understanding and a critical awareness of educational issues such as current educational policy within the UK and European Union. Teaching and learning Formal lectures are supported by smaller tutorial groups where the consolidation of understanding, and problem solving, take place. A weekly drop-in mathematics clinic ensures you will have access to help when needed, and staff are always willing to see you on a one-to-one basis to resolve problems. You will also have opportunities for short and long term placements which can include classroom experience.
