Outdoor Activity Leadership and Coaching BA (Hons) Where you will study: Buxton Campus. This is our second campus and is 1 hour’s drive away from our main campus in Derby. Entry requirements: Academic – 260 UCAS tariff points, of which at least 220 must be from your International Baccalaureate or equivalent qualification. Language – A qualification such as IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 in all areas) or TOEFL – 550 (paper based), 213 (computer based), 80 (internet based). How you’ll learn ▪ You will have the opportunity to go on trekking trips to Morocco, as well as developing your winter skills in Scotland. ▪ You will gain real life experience through the Personal Development modules. ▪ You will be involved in leading the way in developing issues around leadership and education, risk management, environmental impacts, and further developing the outdoor education sector within the UK for future generations.
Your career Why choose this course? ▪ You will study at Oaklands Manor, our 58 acre outdoor leadership centre in the heart of the Peak District National Park. ▪ We use a range of climbing areas, including; The Roaches, Stanage Edge, Burbage Edge, Yarncliff, Castle Naze, Alderley Quarry. ▪ You will go canoeing and kayaking in Combs Reservoir, River Derwent, Afon Tryweryn and Afon Conwy.
