About the course Our theory into practice philosophy will enhance your coaching knowledge and develop your vocational skills. You will be engaged in the process of encouraging athlete potential and preparing athletes for competition. You will be given the opportunity to work with sports clubs in the local community. The knowledge gained will enable you to develop progressive practices and coach specific skills that will help you prepare athletes at all levels for competitive environments.

You will be taught through lectures, seminars, tutorials and practical coaching activities.

▪ This programme can be combined with Sport Psychology, Sport Development, or Sports Massage and Exercise Therapies, which means that you will study two subject areas, giving you a great range of knowledge and skills for your future career. ▪ You will be taught by our experienced tutors who work with Olympic, World, European, and Commonwealth Champions in cycling, martial arts, golf, athletics and motor racing.

Your career Sports Coaching helps the development of individuals by improving their performance. Coaching can be influential on a number of different levels, from helping a six year old to learn the basics of how to throw a ball, to guiding experienced performers through an international competition. Coaches are needed at every level of sport participation. Jobs are available in schools, National Governing Bodies, councils and sports clubs.
