Derek Brown

Originally from Montana, I received my undergraduate degree from The Master’s College (Santa Clarita, CA) and my M.Div. and Ph.D. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Louisville, KY). I previously served as the managing editor for The Journal of Discipleship and Family Ministry and adjunct professor of theology for Southern Seminary. I currently serve as an associate pastor at Grace Bible Fellowship of Silicon Valley overseeing our young adult ministry, Grace Campus Ministries, online presence, and as the series editor for our book publishing ministry, Big Truth | little books.™ I also serve on the peer review boards of The Journal of Discipleship and Family Ministry and The Journal of Biblical and Theological Studies. My wife and I have been blessed with two boys and love to spend time reading, riding bikes, hiking, and exploring the outdoors. When not spending time with my family, I can be found running or cycling around the San Francisco Bay Area.
