Biker Preacher’ s Corner

Hello, my brothers and sisters! I pray you’re having an excellent riding season so far! I know for me I’m gearing up for a big bike trip with some of my brothers from VBCI and preparing to head to the UK later this year to visit our churches there; VBC Cornwall and VBC Scotland. I’m also working on another church plant in Blackpool, England. Very exciting times!! There is one thought I had on my mind for this month; because the Lord wanted me to write about this phrase. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so. That thought, statement leads me to a very important question. Are you redeemed – born again? Let me explain the question. Psalm 107:2 says “Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom He has

redeemed from the hand of the enemy,”

The word redeemed means: to gain or regain possession of (something) in

exchange for payment.

Let me put this in perspective, without writing a whole theological book on sin and redemption. Right at the very beginning Satan (formerly known as Lucifer – who wanted to take over God’s throne) was tossed out of Heaven for his pride. So, what does he do? He manipulated the mother of the human race (Eve) to eat the ‘apple’ and her husband Adam also ate it. In doing so they gave up their God given authority over the planet Earth to Satan. This was the first sin. This is why Jesus, the Son of God, had to come. To restore our, mankind’s, relationship with God the Father and to reestablish God’s original calling and authority for us, mankind. How does God redeem us? Good question. Romans 5:8 tells us.

Romans 5:8 (TPT): But Christ proved God’s passionate love for us by dying in our place while we were still lost and ungodly!

Ya see there was no other way for us, mankind, to be saved. The only payment that could be paid was the sinless blood of the Lamb of God, Christ Jesus, had to be spilled and His life given as the one and only redemptive price for our salvation. Jesus didn’t stay dead though – He arose again on the third day and ascended back into Heaven and is sitting at the right hand of God the Father praying for you and me right now. How can you be redeemed? Romans 10:9-11 tells us.

Romans 10:9–11 9 If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, Everyone who believes on him will not be put to shame,

So, the first step is to believe in your heart that Jesus is God, that He died for your sins and rose again. Then based on your faith in Christ Jesus confession with your mouth Jesus is Lord. You are saved. Finally, tell others of how God saved you and what He has done for you. Also, find a good bible based church – if you can’t make it to Victory Biker Church. God loves you bikers and so do I
