Celebrate all things foodie at the Clipper Race Kitchens, part of the Foyle Maritime Festival, where Ebrington Square will be transformed into a world of gourmet magic, with live cookery demos, award winning produce and creativity. This free, four-day family friendly event will have three main zones celebrating local produce and culinary creativity, Clipper Race Kitchens, Food Pavilion and Street Food Village.
Clipper Race Kitchens Tantalise your taste buds in our Food Kitchen with a special guest appearances from Celebrity French Chef Jean-Christophe Novelli, and some of Ireland’s top chefs including Jenny Bristow, Paula McIntyre, Noel McMeel, Brian McDermott, Ian Orr and Emmett McCourt. Enjoy the sizzling atmosphere as 12 local restaurants cook up a storm with speciality dishes to try and buy each day. Make sure to visit the Flavours of the Foyle zone, showcasing the best of local seafood.
Food Pavilion Sample some of the finest regional produce in our market hall with over 40 local producers selling an array of ice-creams, patisserie, award-winning cheeses, jams and chutneys. Local producers include Broighter Gold, Tully Farm, Donnybrewer Butter, Made With Love, Glastry Farm, Erin Grove and much, much more.
Food Village Grab a bite of some of the Northwest’s finest street food where you can get a taste some of the mouth-watering creative cuisine from Hog Plate, Mourne Seafood Bar, Morelli’s, Broughgammon Farm goat burgers to name a few.
Family Fun Zone Lots of free family entertainment with comedy chefs, walkabout fish, mermaids and a culinary themed kid’s zone with arts and crafts. Also on site are a range of other family attractions such as water boats, jungle playground, chairoplanes and live music. This event has been supported by the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs, Tourism NI, NI Year of Food and Loughs Agency through the Sustainable Development Fund.
