Each year the Hallowe’en festival in Derry~Londonderry grows bigger and better than ever before! This year there are lots of new spooky events for the whole family to enjoy, from Hallowe’en at Ebrington with Chateau Le Fear and Suitable: Family Oriented Freaky Fun Fair to the Tower Grill, and Jackula. Discover what comes out when the sun goes down around Hallow’s Eve! This family event involves a spooky bat tour of a local green space where you will learn how to use special bat detecting equipment and discover more about local myths and legends with a local bat expert and tour guide. Awakening the Walls Citadel of Dreams by LUXe Suitable: Family Oriented Venue: City Walls Entrance: St Columb’s Cathedral Entrance on London Street Date: Thursday 30th October – Saturday 1st November Time: 6.30pm - 8.30pm (Thurs & Sat) and 5.30pm – 7.00pm (Fri) Admission: Free For three days over Hallowe’en, the celebrated landscape theatre company LUXe invite a family audience to take a walk through the Citadel of Dreams an especially created theatrical dreamworld of light, fire, sculpture and circus, on, above and beside the city walls. Come and enjoy beautiful illuminated sculptures, fiery mechanical sculpture, shadowplay, music, dance, fire performance and fire sculpture, as well as some of Ireland’s finest street and night circus performers. Citadel of Dreams is a continuous flow performance that will take around 30 minutes to walk through. As there are some steps, provision will be made for disabled access. Dress for the weather.
